I'm not sending a 22-year Sengun plus whatever for Giannis. Sengun will likely work on his biggest weakness rn -- shooting fts, and if fixed, we're talking a perennial all-star. I don't think trading Sengun this early in his career is smart.

But y’all are really enjoying watching Jalen and FVV play with their food 40 feet from the basket until there is 7 seconds left to create. Have you enjoyed watching Amen? If so multiply that by 2 for current Giannis. I do think Amen, Giannis, and Sengun would be a horribly spaced offense unless Sengun learns to shoot from the outside. If he does, we would win a championship. It seems crazy to me that you would hate watching Giannis play, but love watching an Ime offense.

Why would Milwaukee want Jalen Green. He has zero trade value.

Yes. That’s a huge concern. I do think there are teams (maybe even the Rockets) that are still sold on his potential and will give up value. I think Atlanta may take a chance with Trae, Charlotte with Lamelo, and a few others, but he has really hurt his trade value this postseason.

Naw. Frustrating as a fan and I’m sure for Ime and stone. However the league as a whole will value him for sometime to come. Most non Houston teams would love to have him and see if he can take that next step.

Remember the rockets were happy to trade for Kevin Martin who was far more flawed… because they thought he could still be valuable in the regular season regardless if he could elevate his game to superstar level in the playoffs.

Teams pay for regular season production regardless.

Just go all in for Bane. Good defender, great shooter, can create his own shot & playmake. He'll be at 25 ppg with Houston

Jalens tw0 year + player 0pti0n hurts his trade value the m0st

if a team gets him, but Jalen w0nt sign an extensi0n-- that team w0uld have t0 trade him again,

0r straight up l0se him, c0z n0 team w0uld sign and trade Green unless he himself wants the 0ffer and the team itself

With a coach like Kerr, Jalen might be great. Unfortunately, they have nothing of value for us. Jalen has a great work ethic and that’s why Ime loves him. Just don’t think he has it and we need to pivot from him and FVV. Amen, Sengun, and Jabari are a very solid young core. See what you can get for FVV, Jalen, Cam, Tari, and even Dillon. If it’s lopsided just hang onto them (except FVV).

As long as it to an East team. Can we get in on Herro? Miami might be a really good fit for Giannis.

I'm on the fence about it. I mean if you can win a championship in the next three years, it's worth it.

The thing is that Sengun is probably not ever going to be as good as Giannis. Like, sure, it's possible, but most guys who are going to get there are at least most of the way there by the end of their fourth season. Giannis himself is a good example, he received MVP votes and made All-NBA 2nd team and All-Defensive 2nd team in his 4th season (same age as Sengun).

Jokic is another example. Fourth season, granted a year older than Sengun--All-NBA 1st team, 4th in MVP voting, better stats.

The question is really just, can we win a championship in the next few years with Giannis? If we can, I think you do it. If we can't, you don't. So, I think it depends on the contours of the trade (what else we have to give up that matters for winning a chip right now) and what other deals we can line up (we would need more shooting around Giannis to make a real run at it, without hurting our defense too much).

For me, I'd say I think there's around a 50/50 chance we could pull it off? Maybe more like 45/55? I don't know. So it's a tough call.

I got news for you, you're on the clock once you make the playoffs. Giannis can play at this level for at least 5 yrs, minimum. You think anyone currently on the Rockets going to be mvp caliber like Giannis. The time and opportunity is now, nit in 2 or 3 yrs. In regards to them losing to Indy, styles make fights. The Hakeem led Rockets lost to the Sonics 16 straight times. The Sonics couldn't beat Denver. The Suns couldn't beat the Rockets. Fact of the matter is it's alot easier defining roles with a player like Giannis than without. It's easier also to find shooters than finding a guy like him. The team that is directly in front of you is a team like OKC who is loaded with picks and they will have the mvp. Again, they can give up 4 1s, Green, Smith, and FVV fir Giannis and filler and still have a stockpile of talent to supplement. It would be Reed time to start, and he would get clean looks with Giannis. Amen and Giannis on the break isn't fair. In half court, basically high low with him and Alpi. Tari, Cam off the bench in addition to a guy like Seth Curry

I'm out on Jalen, but we need to not send him to the Warriors. Our luck with that franchise we'd send him there, THEN he'd turn into ****ing Kobe and keep knocking us out of the playoffs for the next 15 years...

Someone needs to explain why Giannis would even want to come to the Rockets. There a handful of teams that are better suited for him to be as a potential contender.

Him coming to the Houston would basically be recreating the current version of the Bucks without Lillard.

That’s the big fear I think Stone has with Jalen. We know every 3rd or 4th game he will light it up with a 30 pt banger of a game and look like a world beater. I know we are frustrated as fans and I’m sure as sh$t believe Stone is more frustrated than we are… but there’s a fear that if he’s traded he will all the sudden flip the switch and be able to be consistently really good.

I think the game plan if he is to be shopped is to definitely keep it lowkey and you gotta ensure he goes East. Otherwise we could have some serious egg on our face for years.

Plus I know that most of us posters are maybe older than Jalen’s biggest fans who aren’t here in the pre-teen to teen boy demographic. Even up here in DFW with my kid being in basketball and seeing young kids in who they idolize nowadays…. Yeah Jalen is actually very popular with the young kids getting into the NBA. He’s not Luka popular but he’s more popular than you’d think. I know that fan aspect doesn’t get you championships but I do think his popularity with young fans isn’t something to automatically discount here.

Like I say, I'm totally out on him, but we better not send him to Golden State, Lakers or anybody else in the West. Just in case. He has too many 30-40 pt games in his young career to risk him coming back to haunt us year after year if he does figure it out.
