[Ghetto] Huge "love" marks

Yeah. I like how he read into the word ghetto and extracted white people as a retort.

 

Ghetto doesn't designate a paticular race but a social class. Blacks don't hold a patent on growing up or living in the ghetto. Latins, asians, jews, and whites also reside in ghettos.

 

Every race has some Ghetto people, we all know a few.

 

I didn't see where anyone was trying to make the case that blacks had a 'patent' on the ghetto.

The only problem i have with this use of the word is that it can easily offend a group of people (not a race) when there are plenty alternative terms to use.

And to be honest, i genuinely don't understand it all the time, it just makes things confusing. I always think of it as 'of the ghetto' (and the majority of the people i've been around my life have thought of it this way) meaning either from the ghetto or at least acting like you are from the ghetto, basically doing things that someone who is poor might do. I never think of it as just acting stupid or low class.

 

My girlfriend's mother once told me: "Hickey's are about the same as peeing on a girl."

I don't get all the disgust about it. What is so gross about a hickey? They go away after a short while.

 

You don't see many executives sporting those in offices.

 

Yeah, but no one decent wants to emulate those dicks anyway.

I remember my brother ex girlfriend had them on her face. I was like what the hell and I couldn't stop laughing.

Although Jews might have lived in the ghetto in past generations, I certainly don't know of any that do now. Quite the opposite, actually. Jus' sayin.
