Yes, we’ll need Jalen Green to turn into an All-Star level player along with Sengun and then Amen to get an outside shot and we’re there. It’s possible.
Disagree about that part. It's been like 20 years, but Pistons with no "superstars" took down Lakers who had 4 HOF starters.
Grizzlies going to miss his shooting as bane is their only sniper but I think the pacers is too good of a comparison for us. I think we are the raptors right now, we got exciting young talent like Scottie RJ and Quickley but those guys aren’t going to win you anything but it’s a great start
First off….my bad on the Pistons. Only team in 50+ years to win a title without a star. As far as us being equal to the Raptors, I disagree. We are definitely better, but it could be argued that at least they have an all-star.
It might be interesting to view the context of why Scottie Barnes is an all star and Sengun is not. They have identical, if not very slightly different, statistics between him and Sengun, while Toronto only won 25 games versus the Rockets' 41. If Sengun played in the Eastern Conference, I would strongly argue that he would have had much better overall statistics than Barnes, and he would have been an all star. So, if the Rockets were playing in the East would CF fans consider the fact that the Rockets have an all star in the lineup?
I’d honestly take Jalen over RJ. Second half of last year Jalen. I truly think he’s on the right path now with a goid coach and someone who makes him play defense and rebound.
They can be the 5th seed and they can be the 10th or 11th seed again. Worried is not the word, it is more a mystery box again, hoping again for internal growth. WW3 can happen as well, it is that unpredictable.
Worried is what I am as the Kings signed DeRozen over the weekend without giving anything of value up. The West is a killer…..
Look this group of young kids has only had a real coaching staff for one season. No reason to be worried have some patience. Imagine the growth you'd have on a job after one year if someone actually helping you be a professional at your job. I don't think hardly anyone here doubts the Rockets have talent. The argument may be over which players have the talent but there is a ton of talent on this team. The cream will rise to the top.
