I hope MMorris will be an asset because I have doubts about him. Kansas regularly gets top high school players every season, it makes the team better than the players, just like Duke. Here are the former McDonald's All-American Kansas players:

    2010 - Josh Selby
    2009 - Xavier Henry
    2007 - Cole Aldrich
    2006 - Darrell Arthur
    2006 - Sherron Collins
    2005 - Julian Wright
    2005 - Mario Chalmers
2005 - Micah Downs (transferred to Gonzaga)
2003 - David Padgett (transferred to Louisville)
2003 - J.R. Giddens (transferred to New Mexico)
    2001 - Aaron Miles

I wouldn't call any on this list franchise players. If Morris plays like P.Patterson, this draft will be a success, but if he is like J.Hill (2010-11), it is a failure. At 14th, you really can't expect much, but the upside to the draft is the 2nd pick, size and age. I hope I'm totally wrong because Rockets success is my joy. I hope he becomes a little of Melo, Pierce and Harrington, the sum of that will be our Franchise Player.

Reading the draft thread a couple of people used the word "thug"? Were they just joking around? Or does he like to throw accidental elbows?( I don't mind if someone deserves it)
Or does he hang around in bowling allies with tech 9s?

They are fraternal twins. They look similar though.

People are comparing him to Paul Pierce...hope he doesn't end up like Walter McCarty...probably somewhere in between...hopefully more like Pierce than McCarty.

The comparisons to Paul Pierce are unfair. I think the best way to describe Morris' game is a David West/Ryan Gomes hybrid.

He has the skill set of D.West in the body of R.Gomes. He might be able to play the strong 3 for his first few years, but he'll be a 4 when his body fills out.

The more I read about him the more I like his background.

He seems to have that Lowry swag, confidence, and level of toughness that doesn't need any extra motivation...it's all internal.

If he can be a Melo lite, then we hit gold at 14.

Donatas, I'm still learning about. However, I'm liking this future frontline of Patterson, Marcus, and hopefully Donatas. Height wise, we are not lacking really. And toughness, size wise, we more than enough. In today's NBA, you don't see the bruisings Karl Malone's, etc. And even then Marcus, and Patterson are very well built.

I think for Marcus to make the immeadite switch the to the SF/perimeter forward spot he'll have to trim 10-15lbs, which is something he said he'd have to do. Lose some weight to get even quicker. And if that's the case, we have someone in the Carmelo mold.

I ain't hatin'. That is guy who got all shaken and upset when he found out his twin brother was selected ahead of him, proceeded to abruptly cry for a few moments before an interviewer interrupted him. When asked about his brother getting selected before him, he lets out a bitter mumble:"I'll send him some flowers or fruits or somethin'"

Afterwards, the hotshot of the draft comments:"y'all know they don't have any scorer forwards..."

    Yep, you're just hatin'.
