I mean, you just can't get more delusional than this.

I can only compare it to the Rudy Gay = Kevin Durant thread. Although I actually think that was worse, since we already knew for a fact what kind of player Gay was in the NBA. At least with Morris, on draft night, it was possible that he could have been more than a mediocre spot up shooter.

I gave CXbby a hard time about this prediction, but mainly due to him being abrasive. However, I give him credit for having the balls to actually make a prediction unlike so many on here that refuse to do so for fear of failure. Many of those same people like to troll and follow others around and point out when they've been wrong even though they don't have the courage to make a prediction themselves...on the internet. I can only imagine what these people are like in person if they don't have the backbone to take a position on an anonymous message board.

I, myself, have made quite a few predictions. I've been wrong on some, but right on many more. It doesn't bother me when people (who troll and are too scared to make predictions) only highlight the few wrong ones I've made.

If people want to point out poor predictions about Marcus Morris, BimaThug's is right up there:

The guy compared him to Corliss Williamson. Maybe he should just stick to the salary cap. :)

Sad times when we had to hope every mediocre player we had would be a superstar :p

I liked Marcus too. I thought the switch to SF was going to be easier. Didn't he play sf in high school or something? Anyway, his journey's not over, but I definitely don't see Carmelo-with-defense.

Sad. Marcus really had an amazing game down between the low-block and the baseline. That's where they utilized him the most.

I watched him a lot being a Big 12 guy. I really thought we had a steal too. Not a franchise player but a solid starter in the league. You can't win em all.

This reminds me of my thinking on Marcus Fizer, I thought that guy would be a stud NBA player - boy was I wrong.

I'm not saying there aren't things to fault about that comparison, but are you aware of what Corliss did his first 2 years in the league? The comparison, especially on a per 36 basis, isn't that bad.

Hahahaha! Hey, maybe my "scouting report" wasn't perfect. :p

I was never a big Marcus Morris fan and wanted the Rockets to take Kawhi Leonard at #14 BADLY. I understood the rationale for taking Morris as a "power 3" (with Corliss Williamson being one of the few non-star-yet-still-successful power 3s I could think of), but I was never highly confident that Morris would actually become a star. But after killing Morey for the Brooks and Landry picks in 2007, I've learned to give the Rockets' front office the benefit of the doubt. Sure, they don't hit on every prospect, but they know a hell of a lot more than I do.

(And no, I'm not going to come at Kwame. I can take a joke.)

This guy was #5 on the Lakers draft board. Lakers GM overrated.
