For all the talks of whether the "rim and 3" philosophy works and whether Harden is playing too much hero ball, the Rockets problem this year isn't being able to score, it is stopping people. By way of comparison, the 2014-15 Rockets ranked 8th on defense and 12th on offense. So this year's team is actually better on offense than last year's more successful team. Defense is mostly about effort, concentration, and just not being a dumbass. This year they lacked all three of those things.
