I would get this done before you leave for your business trip.

Even if you quit, it's a small world and reputations spread. Don't let gossip ruin your name.

It really sucks man, hang in there. My divorce was hard enough at the time without kids being involved. I have a daughter now, and can't fathom how difficult this must be for you. Feel free to email me through the board if you need someone to chat with.

You are not alone man. I am having a tough time too. I wished all of us going thru this could meet up for a beer. We can lift each other up. It is hard for my friends who aren't in this situation to relate.

Getting back to your situation, I believe you have a right to demand your daughter be returned to the marital home. You possibly could even get a court order to accomplish this.
You really need a lawyer badly. Check avvo.com to find one. Many offer free initial consultations and the website has reviews of individual lawyers and also informs you if their practice was ever punished for professional misconduct.

If she has moved out already I hope you have cut her off financially (beware of her emptying any joint accounts you may have). Don't get into a long drawn out separation. It makes sense to file for divorce so that you don't have to split any further personal income as "marital assets".

I am almost there myself. One minute things seem tolerable and ok, the next I realize it is all a lie. It wouldn't be so hard if not for my son.

i'm shocked it's taken you this long to contact a lawyer. if my wife ever uttered divorce, the first thing i'd do is call a lawyer.
