I had one a few months ago. They shot me up with pain killers so my face was numb during the procedure (though it still hurt quite a bit during some moments when the nerve was being touched/extracted). Felt OK immediately afterwards while my faces was still numb, but after an hour or so, when the injected drugs wore off, it hurt like hell. Had to pop some of the very strong pain pills right away to make it bearable (they gave me two types of pills, one stronger (with Vicodin or something) and one not so much, and only the stronger one made a significant differencE). This lasted for a few days before the pain really went away. One thing to note is that pain level varies by person, generally (I was told), the more pre-op pain you have, the more post-op pain you will have. My pre-op pain was pretty damn serious. How's yours?
It started out as a throbbing toothache (especially when I laid down) that would last for about 10 minutes and then go away. It went away for a couple days and then it came back, but the tooth has been hurting pretty bad for the past couple days.
