Like Yao but about 2' shorter. Is there a dress code for this place? If so I'll be wearing a black shirt and beige pants if not I'll wear my Minnesota Judo T-Shirt.
No pictures, it didn't happen. Seriously though, it was fun to meet y'all. Email me through the site and we can figure out how to get a copies and everything.
i went up there about 830 or so...I didnt see AKPEREZ so i figured the old lady was already in bed by then...
You are sooo wrong! You snooze you loose!! Too bad you missed out....we left to go eat okay, okay. All I could come up with is a skinnier mexican David Arquette. It was great meeting you too. You taught me alot about Clutchfans history! I have the pics but I need to get them from home. Somehow the e-mail I sent last night to my work didn't make it. Actually it's the same as the one Scott posted on his Myspace. They aren't as bad as I feared. You were snapping away! You know how us girls are . It was great meeting you too. And thanks so much for covering our tab. I had no idea. You were gone when I came back from the restroom so I couldn't thank you. Sishir it was really great to meet you and your judo buddy. You truly are a very cool guy. If you didn't get to meet him during his visit you missed out! Good luck Saturday and return home in one piece!! I hope your visit back to your hometown was a good one.
Man I wanted to go and meet Sishir Chang and others but my bummed leg needed rest. Home you all had a good time. I wanna see the pics.
It was great meeting y'all and thanks again Pasox for covering the first round. I got the lovely Akperez and friends second round and next time I'm back and town I'll have to get you back. I will have to check out your Myspace page for the pics. As for the rest of the Clutcthfans out there still looking to meet the legend that is Sishir Chang (man, I sound like Trader_Jorge) I'm still in town until Sunday and staying at the Downtown Hyatt. Planning on taking it very easy tonight, no drinking, but after the tournament looking to hit the town with the other Judoka. I would be happy to hangout for a little while tonight if anyone is up for that or if anyone doesn't mind partying with Judo people tomorrow night drop me an email through Clutchfans.
Made it back from my Houston in one piece and in relatively good shape even though I'm still suffering some soreness from the tournament. For those wondering how the tournament went unfortunately not that good. To avoid explaining the arcania of Judo scoring it was analogous to the Stros' World Series. Fought hard against a couple of superior opponents and then let a couple of matches go due to the equivalent of hanging the slider. Even though the main reason I went down there ended up not as good as I hoped it still was a good trip. It was great meeting several Clutchfans, some other old friends and see Houston. Houston has really changed since I lived there, overall for the better. The best thing to see was downtown really develop. When I was growing up I remember downtown being dead at night and that area around Live Sports Cafe being really seedy and not a place you wanted to be after dark so it was a really nice change to see it so lively. It was great seeing a game at Minute Maid too and for once not being the only lonely voice rooting for the Houston team. While it was good to see how Houston has changed there were many things that have stayed the same about Houston like the softness of the air at sunset, watching the magnolias bloom, Spanish Moss on live oaks or just eating a Shipleys donuts. It was simple things like that I found that I missed the most about Houston. It was also great to get the chance to share those with some of my Judo friends from Minnesota who were really impressed by Houston particularly by the food like Goode Company BBQ and Cabos. Not much is known about Houston up here in the upper Midwest and what is generally isn't good so it felt good to show them what a great city Houston is. Thanks again to all the Clutchfans who I got to meet and to finally getting to meet some of the faces behind the screen names along. Hopefully next time I'm down in Houston will get to meet some more. For those who have a MySpace account I'll post some pictures. http://www.myspace.com/sishman
My myspace isn't hard to find. It's pasox2. I'm not going to link it. Here's a couple of pics of people smiling. Very nice people - clever, fun to talk with, willing to get out and meet. Part of what makes this site so nice.
Pasox thanks for the pics and also for the CD's I haven't had a chance to listen to them all. Thanks again to Ak and her friends for making those pics a lot easier on the eyes. They're making a good case for having more Clutchfans gatherings.
