If the Mavs amnesty Nowitzki ... could he be an option?

If Dwight stays in LA, its almost inevitable that we would get Pau Gasol for next season. Makes too much sense for both HOU and LA. Legit big with an expiring contract. We'd still be one of the major bidders in the highly anticipated summer of 2014 free agency.

With Harden on the team (and in parts Scola and Battier before), can't really hold that opinion of teams being full of "cheap floppers" now. Pretty hypocritical

Might as well bring Dirk in then.

(And obligatory " he can be a "mentor" to Donuts! ")

    Gasol here?

"He can be a mentor to D-MO!"

That is way down on the "Things to do" list.

We need to upgrade 2-3 positions at the starting line up before that takes place. Not only that, our bench is the reason we were in the game tonight. So, it's hard to even understand where this comment is coming from.

A Harden/Love pick game would be tough to guard, can run both the pick and pop and the pick and roll.

Beverley and Brooks should be our PG rotation next year. Beverley can play alongside Harden for defense and rebounding, with Harden scoring and playmaking. Brooks can come in when Harden is sitting to be a playmaker for the team.

Trade Lin, Robinson, Motiejunas, and package Royce with one of them, for picks. Sign Josh Smith. Sign Dwight. Then we have Beverley, Josh Smith, and Dwight on defense which is ridiculous and Harden, Parsons, Smith, and Dwight who are all great or capable scorers in different ways on offense, which is also ridiculous.

Is it possible? Going to go masturbate to the thought.

    Beverley/Brooks
    Harden/Delfino/Garcia
    Parsons/Delfino/Garcia
    Smith/Jones
    Dwight/Asik

09 Yao would've been sick with this team. Inside outside all day

James Harden isn't a good enough PG? Because he's been playing the position the whole year.

I think it would be good to bring Gasol in on a short contract, that would give our young pf's a chance to develop and to see what they can become before we trade them away.

You guys understand that gasol is coping with tendinosis (same issue granger has) in both legs and coming off of a plantar tear. His decline will be rapid, he's going to get treatment over summer but that many issues on a big guy is risky. These aren't small issues he could easily miss months with recurring injuries. I'd stay away from pau. Don't want a Yao like situation.

I'm torn on Pau. I wouldn't trade for him, but if tey amnesty I think it'd be worth a shot if we strike out on Howard and anyone else we go after. If it works out than its a great move, if not, isn't next year the last in his contract anyway?

What do you guys think about David West?? Not a max guy, but would bring some much needed toughness I think!

Dwight looks so miserable in LA.....Come have fun dwight

I don't want just josh smith.... It better be a josh smith + a cp3 or an Iggy. Josh smith by himself will not make a big enough impact

A Paul gasol option isn't sounding too bad right now either( as long as we don't give him a crazy extension and get Kevin love after) but I'm not giving the lakers anybody relevant on our team for him. give em a 2nd rd pick and Guys who we were going to cut anyways
