Heh. I told Colin about this thread. I told him that it was a true sign that he had "arrived." He thought it was hilarious.

Colin's role with Yao continues to shift as Yao becomes less more comfortable with communicating in English. He's a good guy, he knows his role, and, just so everybody knows -- Yao's English ability has come a long way, but there are still times when certain words or concepts don't translate easily for him. That's why Colin is there.

since colin has a diminishing role, how about we get him to start posting on this site? provided we can get a peace treaty from the guys who start these type of threads.

Since yao cant post here and only on his own BBS, we should get colin to post here....thats our link to the big man!:)

that would definetly be really cool, nothing better than the fans getting to critique and criticize a player and having them respond

I think it's time to try Colin as backup point guard.

Can't be much worse than Moochie, anyway.

Regarding men of our Planet your version of manhood is a minority view.

Doesn't Colin Pine sort of look like Clay Aitkin's long lost, less talented cousin?

Several of our players could benefit from living with their parents. Especially if mom and pop were strict disciplinarians who forbade guns and drugs in the house.

I'm just not sure how you think it's any of your damn business how he lives his personal life.

Carmelo Anthony. Friday night they showed him eating food walking into the arena. When they asked him where he got it from, he said his mom made it.

Hey, hate threads on Clutch are nothing new. I think every few weeks some new poster who thinks his masculinity is threatened by the existence of a kid-friendly mascot starts flaming away. Then folks who think Clutch is cool flame back.

    Rinse. Repeat.

I think the answer is to get Colin on a training regimen to bulk him up. That way, he'll be mean and aggressive and can impart those qualities to Yao. Maybe get Ken Caminiti to start him on a steroid program.

Then again, maybe the person who started this thread is right.
While Yao was in China over the summer working out and playing national team basketball, where was Pine? Playing miniature golf and eating at Ben & Jerry's. If he's not willing to work to stay in shape during the off-season, we need to dump him. Trade him for another translator, or maybe someone like Vanna White, who's pretty good with letters and still in playing shape.
