"Far grander plans will be unveiled as Rockets fever continues to spread. “Opening night is going to be uber-redified,” says Sheirr. “You’re going to see red everywhere – signs, t-shirts, napkins, everything. The players are going to be wearing their road red which we’ve never done in this arena. We’re going to try to break the world record for most painted faces in a single venue. We’re actually going to have a Guinness official here.” Interesting... Now I HAVE to get tickets to that game
So far, this slogan is the biggest disappointment of the upcoming season. I hope it's the only disappointment we have to deal with...
GET RED? GET READY is even better than GET RED. Do not know the color can say something well in the sport, but at least "it's time" was better.
I remember the first game at Toyota Center was a home opener vs. Denver Nuggets and the Rockets wore their road red jerseys, anyone else remember that?
Remember during the Jazz series two years back when Yao was playing? Man Like a fourth of the people were wearing jazz blue. That was truly awful.
Maybe when they start winning it will grow on me. I do understand the "We want to own the color red" in the NBA scene but that will take some dynasty championships before that occurs. Nothing wrong with having a goal to shoot for, though

I like it...smooth and simple. Not sure if anyone nailed this in my "Guess the Rockets slogan!" thread..
Sounds like a simple plea for Houston fans to show up at games with red and the like, but It's is obviously an attempt to appeal to the Peoples' Republic.
I didn't like it instantly, but it hasn't taken long for it to grow on me. I really love that they're trying to get fans to wear red and get more involved in games. That's something I think we've all been pleading for and this can only help.
LOL @ YugoRocketsFan for making this comment... "Wasnt on the front page. But mine has the direct link to the article so mine > that one" ...right before his duplicate thread was emphatically locked up.
I never asked for a prick reponse. I didnt see it among active topics so I decided to make one myself, mistake on my part. Least my parents didnt create a mistake. *cough* *cough*
Well, you got one anyways. Lighten up. Don't be a Djokovic. I'm sure you've had a little fun with some of the foolish posts made by others. We've all made our share.
Hah! I was just messin' around. Roddick sucks, by the way. He's tennis' Luther Head. One-dimensional.
Funny you mention my thread doesn't have a link.. I WAS THERE at Toyota Center when they unveiled the new slogan. I didn't need to read it on a website and then post it 15 hours after it became public knowledge claiming it as something new and fresh. Carry on trying to be better!
