Whether you like it or not, I see Lin will most likely be a Rocket beyond his current contract.

Fact: Lin is the ONLY role player in the league who is capable of making millions in endorsements.

Translation: He will sign for less if he chooses to be on a contending team.

Lin is a good player. People need to stop doubting him.

Not to mention Dwight will help make Jeremy better.

I def see what your saying. Trust when I say I wanted to rid our team of Lin but willing to try it a go again . Fingers crossed but screw it hopefully motivation and confidence is on a rise for Lin. Get Lin shooting on point and maybe even run dude with some Dwight pnr. None the less I'm crazy excited for season plus Beverly is there I do believe in Pat Bev to be something fun to watch. GO ROCKETS

Dafuq? When did the Rockets, or for that matter when did Jeremy Lin in his career had ever had a post-up big for you to make that statement?

When did I in any of my post said he was terrible. Please don't put words in my mouth.

A typical spot-up shooting PG, the Derek Fisher's, Steve Kerr's, Kenny Smiths of the world never gets paid $8mil/yr in FA. So yes, at $8mil I expect more from Jeremy Lin. Do YOU want Lin to just be a spot up shooter for the rest of his career? Seems like crazy low expectations to me if you want that.

Can you refer to any of my posts that states I feel Harden, Howard, and other players are perfect? And that I only feel Lin lacks perfection as you put it?

His playoff appearances were pretty bad though.

Yeah, Linsanity really was something amazing, when he's on he is very very fun to watch.

Man those pick n roll alley oops with Howard on the other end...? I'm excited!

People keep attributing Lin's NYK success to being "a perfect storm".
I think that's an insult to all the work he put in prior to be in that position, but with everything happening in Houston and his laying low this summer, I can't help but feel another "perfect storm" is going to hit us in a few months.

Maybe a "perfect storm" is simply hard work from ones self + teammates who put the team before themselves?

We didn't have a consistent post up player, but Lin still feed Omer and especially DMO when the opening was there, whether they did well or not is another question. You stated we are not in a development period any longer. Of course I don't want him to just be a spot up shooter, but a lot of people believe that's all we need with this team.

Whenever he plays the PG position and handles the ball like a PG, he's very fun to watch...really, even the biggest LOFs know that he has some serious deficiencies, but when he's out there on the floor wheeling and dealing, picking and rolling, he's one of the most exciting players to watch in the world.

It's do or die now for not just Jeremy, but a lot of people on this team. With Mchale being at the top of the list.

I can't wait for next season! Lin and Harden alleyoop passes to Dwight, a defensive presence for an entire game, Parsons will play better. Also, no one has mentioned it but Lin's steals are going to go through the roof knowing hell have someone their to defend the paint consistently. I'll say it now, he'll lead the league in steals next year.

the eye test is an opinion, but it is validated when the consensus suggests the same.

We need to get him outta here. All his job requires is too hit open 3's and occasionally drive. He STILL couldn't find a way to do that consistently. Trade him ASAP

i also mentioned that Lin air balled a 3 pointer to tie the game at the end of regulation against Miami--this season, as a Rocket.

It tells me that Lin isn't this special player that you guys are making him out to be-- who's blitzing the most talented competition on a regular basis.

tell me, outside of Linsanity, what has he really done?

you guys make it sound as if he's a seasoned veteran who has been doing this for 10 years.

you put him on a pedestal that he can't even sit on.

then he should leave Houston, cause that is now James Harden's role.

James Harden/ Dwight Howard, the new Kobe/Shaq

there isn't room for a ball dominant point guard in this scenario, this is just a fact.

Unless Jeremy wants to come off the bench as the 6th man, similar to what Harden did in OKC.

How is it do or die ?

Did you review how old the team roster is?

Do you remember hearing DYNASTY from D12?

This is a long-haul thing, your either with the Rockets and #rednation or your not because outside of Parsons Howard Harden ~ you more or less have a guarantee that the core is sticking together for YEARS to come.
