well just do some math if he we're 15-6 without him that means that we've played 21 games without him and currentlt (including today's win over charlotte) 35 games with him (56-21).

our record now is 35-21, so take away 15 from wins and 6 from losses and we end up with

    20-15 with t-mac in, 57%
    15-6 is 71%

This may look fun right now, but things are going to get much tougher before the fun begins.

Our schedule becomes miserable pretty soon.

It will come down to the Rockets staying afloat after losses...We can't afford to lose two or three in a row at this point.

I cant help but feel that there is a sense of optimism in the air since T-Mac said he was out for the season and the trade was made.

Sure on paper we look weaker but the players seems revitalised and so do the crowd if the atmosphere today was anything to go by.

Ron is visibly growing and I think that the first round of the play offs should be a win for this team!

I too am optimistic about our team now.

I am glad that Tracy is gone and I hope it stays that way.

As far as Rafer goes I respect him for his vocal leadership and his time spent with us but I look forward to Aaron's emergence.

    Luis Scola is the man.

I like the additions of our young squad and role players and the aggressive play of Ron.

Hopefully Yao can takeover and doesnt think about defaulting to Tracy.

We may or may not get past the first round of the playoffs but I know that I sure do enjoy watching the Rockets a lot more now!

Your last two sentences nailed it right on the head. Its too damn bad. But as for the ball moving to fast we don't want that to happen. Today's game proved that if you move it toooooo fast toooooo much it will cause turnovers. We can't be the harlem globetrotters now.

Rockets are becoming a team right before our eyes and in basketball a team is dangerous when all parts are working together as one unit. I believe the Rockets will surprise a lot of doubters come playoff time.

Well, I would love to see this team with a good T-Mac. I remember (by this date) last year performance in New Orleans: an absolute exhibition. Days later, the Yao's injury. That game was a blow upon the table.

Now, finally with Battier, Yao and Ron healthy, you add a good McGrady and we could be absolute contenders. We could beat every team. In my opinion we would be the nÂș1 favourites.

Now i'm not saying we're going to win 22 in a row, but...

Remind anyone about how last year we were saying something VERY similar when Scola earned the starting job ;)?

I'd rather go through the distractions of integrating T-Mac into the offense and advancing far into the playoffs than having fun in the regular season and not advancing further than the 2nd round.

You add a good T-Mac and you have a slow half court game and a first round loss.

That's because we live and die by the team now - no more of this 'It's on Me' BS... No more deferring to give the ball to Tmac or to Rafer to give the ball to Tmac to walk it up the court. We got speedballers now handling the ball who'd rather sneak in for a quick score than run the hc offense. And this game shows that Yao doesn't have to be the total focus of the offense to win - we got lots of offensive weapons who will get their chances now. Let's see how it works against the better teams of the league. It'll be fun to watch this team grow during the remainder of the season. Nice wins to start with.

Playoffs will be a slower game by default. A good T-Mac can take us to the promised land. A bad T-Mac or no T-Mac won't.

We had a very dinamic offense in the 22-0 of last year. He would fit even better in an offense with Brooks on the PG position (better shooter/dribbler than Rafer) and he could distribute the attack better than Brooks sometimes. McGrady is a very unselfish player, a great passer and has very good IQ.

This team with a motivated McGrady would be surely the best team of the NBA.
