If I'm pulling or pushing any wagon, I'm not telling them to get on, I'm telling them to get the hell off, band included they weigh too damn much.
I don't think it's all bandwagon fans, even "real" fans are not likely to play $60-$100 for good seats when the team is 15-17. I watched every game this season, but I wasn't going to pay $90 for a ticket and drive all the way downtown when the Rockets were under .500. I never stopped believing that the Rockets would gel and improve into a top West team; I just think that even though there might be some bandwagon fans at Toyota Center now, there are also Rockets fans who followed the team all along and are now willing to shell out the cash to go.
I really don't care about the fate of any ethereal interweb "bandwagon" - unless it has dual zone climate control and corinthian leather upholstery.
Bandwagon fans can sometimes just be people who never paid attention and get hooked and become strong fans of the franchise. You never know. I bet there are a lot of hardcore Rockets and Astros fans who first got a taste of the teams when they were riding high and stuck with them ever since. I would also say that streaks like this are why you stick with your team through thick and thin. The disappointments bear sweet fruit if you have faith.
I have always rode on tha bandwagon..........i fell off and cut myself.......seen the blood was rocket and jumped back on.........
Alright, alright, I forgot that asking a question on here assumes that I have already answered it and thus should be attacked, my mistake of course. Simply posing a question to see what OTHER FAN'S opinion was, because I am a bit split. More rowdy fans at the Toyota Center, and more casual fan excitement...both are a good thing, point well taken. But do I want someone who was a Heat fan a couple years ago, possibly a Laker fan before that, and a Bulls fan before that, to be a Rockets fan now? Not especially. Simplyl posing a question folks, simply posing a question...
