Could theoretically happen without giving up Martin.

Jeffries, Ariza, Battier, Hayes, Andersen, Hill is 28 million in salary. With the 125% rule, Rockets need about 26 million in outgoing salary to make it happen.

SnT Battier + Andersen + Hill + 2012 Knicks pick for Bosh.

SnT Jeffries + Ariza + 2010 Pick + 2011 Knicks pick for JJ.

    Brooks / Lowry
    Martin / Taylor
    Johnson / Budinger
    Bosh / Scola
    Yao / Hayes

Definate title contender but.......~76 million dollar payroll.

JJ is a better defender in playoff compare to Martin.
Martin is just a shooter, JJ is good at passing the ball to Yao and Bosh, a poor man Kobe.

both are good players but it is not good to retool the hole team year after year!

We really need that Offseason thread back where everyone can list their ideas for acquiring players/trades/etc., all in a single thread.

heck, no way i would compare him to Kobe. in the regualr seasons, he might be able to put up big numbers. unfortunately, it is just another scenario in the playoffs, players will play far more aggressively. scrutinize his stats, you'll find that, he took lots of shoots, and missed most of them, he is not efficient and he is mentally weak, IMo_Oh,wait,he reminds me of the injuried tmac. back to the topic, Martin > Johnson if we have yao in the paint.

We don't need LerBon. We already have the RPD's to dance for us.

I'm also a Hawks fan and I'd rather have Kevin Martin over Joe Johnson. Better shooter and he gets to the line so much more. Plus, some of the things everyone hated about McGrady are quite present in Johnson. He disappears in big moments and shows a lack of leadership.

I think Joe cost himself a lot of money this postseason. Let the Knicks overpay for him.

Kevin martin has never taken his team anywhere and he disappears in the 4th q. I think jj is better because he is bigger, stronger, HEALTHIER, and can handle the ball better. He all doesn't require the refs to bail him out as much.
