If you want to act like the rest of those guys consistently put out as little effort and have just as bad of an attitude and body language then go ahead.

I wonder how Wood views himself as player. Who has he patterned his game after. He doesn’t play like a big, set effective picks, box out, protect the rim and he ALWAYS wants to brings the ball up the court. It’s like he doesn’t want to do the things that most post players do. What other NBA starting center plays like this?

at this point i would be happy if he could just stabilize the paint like Luc Longley and Bill cartwright did for the Bulls. the dude has the tools just not the mind

Dan Issel was a 5 who didn’t do what other 5s did. Dave Cowens, too. Bob McAdoo, the first unicorn. Just off the top of my head three very effective 5s who didn’t fit Center er Central Casting.

Woods is good. Would have fit like a glove with Harden, if Harden. But, alas, JHj Shirley turned our Rox world asunder.

I'm sure he's a wonderful human being off the court. But, on it...;)

You casuals b****ing about Wood after he just played against the greatest player of our generation are laughable.

Maybe we should have tossed Theis out there against Lebron? LOL....come on ......

Wood is fine, is he an all world defender? Nope, but he can be servicable......and he is a great offensive player a guy who is a threat all over the court....he is not a lead dog, but he will be a great complimentary piece on a playoff squad.

Keep him....pay him.......let's stop the churn and let the kids burn.

I'm surprised you are this shortsighted.

If there is a good deal for Wood out there, then you take it. He is not going to be the long term starter on this team. Sengun is likely going to be our center and we will need to put another strong defender next to him, since I don't believe Tate is that person either. I don't want to be short forever.

I fear we might have missed the best moment to trade Wood.
His stats are down across the board from last year, not just counting stats but also his efficiency. He’s also down to 16 point on a relatively bad team which isn’t exactly amazing.
i doubt we’ll get the amazing offers that we’re looking for.

OK OK. It's clear that you like Wood, you want Wood, you crave Wood.
Just don't BS everybody about his greatness, offensive or otherwise.

Please tell me....what is a good deal?

Because we have not had a 3pt shooting stretch 4, that can also finish well in the paint for a long long time.

Guys that are this versatile and this big do not grow on trees......

Wood is a good player, who needs better coaching.

But by all means, what do you think is a good deal for him? MORE SHORT GUYS?

No one said he is great, but I found your post hilarious!

I still believe he has a ton of value. He is a good complimentary piece on a good team. I just don't want to wait till next season.

If his contract wasn't as cheap as it is, I'd agree with you. Right now he is producing at a John Collins level, but is getting paid much less for this year and next year. There is a team out there that can definitely use him.

I agree and start to think there is any hardly any market for him to get a decent return.

He has to accept to be coming from the bench, put in effort, and show that he can work hard and improve. Based on the Wood we know, this is not going to happen. And it is unlikely that a team will invest on that. Another option is a team shooting to win it all, will go all in and take him as extra ammo. I would be hesitant to do it if I were a contender. Wood cannot shoot fouls, does not pass, does not set picks, does not have an understanding of the plays. He scores 15-20 pts on a 'relatively and absolutely' bad team and does nothing else. He is one of the most one-dimensional players I have ever seen. I would pick a vet from which you can get reliable production over him in this scenario.

I really wonder how the nba will evaluate his value. I hope we won't be the team to overpay him.
