I think we have all been thinking why? So there are probably reasons we don't know that only Morey knows. I made a poll for everyone's curiosity.

1.) Did Morey do this because he taking a chance on free agency since the free agent bigs are easier to acquire this summer. We won't probably acquire Lebron or Wade anyway but Bosh/Amare are attainable.

2.) I want to keep Landry. He is my favorite rocket at this time. But I guess Kings insisted on him. I would have preferred the Knicks trade but if you look at it,it will stockpile our PFs. Since I think it is harder to get a good wingman or SG this summer, I think Morey did this as a long term investment in a way. We may not like the trade right now but I hope in the future we will like it

3.) Morey is hoping that he'll find a good PF in this draft like everybody else. But I think we have good PF reserves that we don't play because we Scolandry and Hayes. Mike Harris and Pop Mensah Bonsu comes to mind. I just think Mike Harris will be signed if ever we don't get a superstar PF this summer. He does not get the opportunity to play with us because he is a Landry clone. Although Landry is better and bigger, I am just trying what is Morey thinking.

For me, he believes he can get Bosh/Amare. I have a feeling he is confident he is getting either one of them or some other big. But for now, I would like to keep Landry.

How are these options mutually exclusive? Did you read all those threads our money situation? It's not really tmac's expiring contract = 23 have 23 mil to spend. It does not work that way

Yeah, right. Anyone who thinks Bosh is an option at this point is deluding themselves. We don't have the assets nor the cap room to acquire him.

If this trade is final, why didn't we get the butler/haywood instead. The Wiz were asking for our young prospects and we declined but in this Kings trade we agreed. Is Kmart better than Butler?

The most possible scenario for our future PF is Mike Harris or some unknown

Power Forward is definitely coming this summer. Who would not want to play for the rockets after have an amazing center, great shooting guard, and to top it off...great role players. Swing for the fences Morey!
