    No, he wanted to come back to the Rockets. He is from Houston and is comfortable with the Rockets organization. The only way he would leave Houston was for a promotion and there were no vacancies when he left the Mavericks. I do not know any of the details concerning his time with the Mavericks. Thus far he has not said much to anyone about why it didn't work out.

    Glad to know he's committed to staying here for the long haul, sounds like that was his selling point to Les and Daryl. Gersson seems like he was an integral part of the organization and having another intelligent mind back to help is a huge plus.

    It was outstanding work by Gersson and fellow Executive Vice President for Basketball Operations Gianluca Pascucci. Good chemistry between the two, kept the floor spaced at the office when they were both on. Also, having both of them allows the Rockets to have an Executive VP on the floor at all times during a 48 minute game when one of them takes a breather or gets into foul trouble.
