The right to wear it if they want to??? What is this the middle ages? We can't have people wearing symbols of oppression and barbarism. The symbolism is just too much for a civilized society.

Force those who want to wear it to step into the present with us by banning it. Freedom = not wearing those clothes. There is no woman who would voluntarily wear those clothes!!

I feel like this is sarcasm but I can't be 100% sure. Your failure to directly tie this to some problem with America has thrown me for a loop.

 

I've freed several Muslim women from their religion - and it's a fight I won't stop. Arab men also happen to be the creepiest/perviest in the world. They know if they let their women understand the world, or develop social intelligence, they'll leave in a heartbeat, so they use intimidation, fear and sexual abuse at a young age to rule over them.

Historically, it's an effective way to brainwash girls. According to Islam, Men are dogs and women are powerless to control this or their destiny. So they live vicariously through bolder, western counterparts while they descend into sloth and a life of breeding. That being said, 99% of girls who adopt the Hijab do so because of body image issues - they fear the competition against skinnier, tight bodied women. But again, this boils down to lack of social intelligence and savvy in interacting with males because of an antiquated religion.

I'm not against subservient women. There's nothing wrong or unintelligent about wanting to be nurturing and have a family. But they deserve the choice, and they deserve to know what air feels like against their skin.
