With Rudy, Matthews, Batum, Camby, and possibly TJ Ford (rumors are he's going to POR after a buyout) off the bench.
I think this deal will end up hurting them in the playoffs. Having Wallace makes them better team right away and should do good in the regular season. Problem for them is they are likely to play Lakers in the first round. SA - Will be number 1 (too big of a difference) Dallas - number 2 - (playing great lately, has easier schedule compared to Lakers) Lakers - number 3 OKC - number 4 NOH - number 5 (easy schedule... should keep them above Portland) Portland - number 6 Number 7 & 8: Denver/Memphis. Utah/Phx/Hou can make run.. If Portland is matched against Lakers or Dallas in the first round, their front-court will be killed. Two tallest players in that team are Camby and Aldridge who are both 6'11. Sean Marks is 6'10 but is useless player who hardly gets time.
To add to that: They also gave Sean Marks away So basically, their tallest players are Aldrige (6'11), Camby (6'11), Babbit - rookie (6'9). Babbit is SF. So basically 2 guys who are listed as PF Camby & Aldridge. No guys listed as center....
