That is the second facepalm trade I've seen the Bobcats trying to do today. Wouldn't mind Wallace, but everyone else mentioned is next to worthless.
I would trade for Camby, contract is rather larger but only for this and next year. Portland has a thing for AB so we could get in on this and pickup Camby it would make us much better while not killing our long term capspace.
What we need is a center but Camby is old, overpayed and overrated. Unless you trade Battier for the so called big, Wallace is not the difference maker we are looking for.
I think someone like Camby is exactly what we need in the middle, and his contract isn't consticting to the team;how ever Wallace would be an upgrade to any wing we curently have.
Already a thread somewhere in here about this... a camby only thread would have been better, but probably pointless. Portland needs him with Oden out.
Camby is averaging 11 rpg, almost 8 of those boards on the defensive end and almost 2 bpg. All those second chance buckets we give up would go away and the layup line would stop immediately. Dude is overpaid but only through next year and then he becomes a nice expiring deal, not sure what's not to like here. My only concern with Camby is his attitude, I've heard he plays for stats and not for the team to often...he'd need to check that at the door.
If the Blazers pull off that trade, I think they lock up the 8th spot in the west! Meaning were lottery bound again this year...
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/22828/roy-looking-for-better-fit-than-miller Roy is looking for a better fit then Miller according to this truehoop article, he wants to handle the ball more, and if Aaron brooks was traded to portland then this would allow that. He would help their 3 point shooting as well. Bobcats could send Augustin and Diop our way. We send Brooks and and JEffries to them and Wallace and Brooks could go to Portland, and Portland could maybe send Batum to us. Not gonna work exactly that way, but possible.
I'de trade Brooks and Hill for Lamarcus Aldridge, if portland wants him that bad.. I wouldn't dare touch Miller though..
Definitely wouldn't want Camby. From what I've seen, hes not a smart defender and he constantly misses mid range jumpers. Wallace is a bit more interesting, but id still say that it wouldn't be worth it.
you're saying that with brooks next to him, rather than Miller, roy would get to handle the ball more?
