That rockets championship team always had that one guy who’s that vested... Mario Elie. He kinda reminds me of him the emotion he brings to the game.
I think he’s more like the answer to Swaggy P and JR Smith... instant offense/ gunners. PJ Tucker is our answer to Draymond Green. Undersized Small-ball center.
Just for his weak side block against the Cavaliers, I think Gerald Green deserves more minutes. He and Luc Mbah Moute should get the minutes given to Ryan Anderson. Trading Anderson should solve the playing time issue.
Blake Griffin was promised to be a Clipper for life and have his jersey up in the rafters. He’s now playing in Detroit.
I see the Rockets don't seem to have an issue with him bringing the ball up the court Even with James and CP3 on the floor Mario Elie does come to mind. Rocket River
Green deserves playing time if nothing else because he hustles his ass off and LOVES playing for this team. It doesn't hurt that he can get buckets though
I never said upper management always keep their word, did I? And Blake Griffin was traded. The Clippers didn't keep him there and on the bench, lowering his minutes, and Griffin is now starring and is being considered a savior on another team, in the eastern conference, where he will have better numbers across the board. Win win for everyone involved. Griffin was also there for years with no playoff success. Not holding on to their word while keeping the players on the team causes locker room/relationship/chemistry issues. When Aaron Brooks came back from injury and lost minutes to Lowry, for example. This caused problems. This is why Dantoni sitting Green when everyone is healthy doesn't bother me. The Rockets are great when everyone is healthy. It's very important, especially with the Rockets being legitimate title contenders (before Green was here), to keep everyone happy and have great chemistry come playoff time. Also, Blake Giffin being traded doesn't make what I initially said wrong.
He'll do that to give James and CP3 a breather. EG does the same thing. Green was bringing the ball up a ton against Orlando when it was basically just him and Harden as reliable ballhandlers.
