I think Bonzi would be a Pontiac Fiero.

    Half season rental?

Oh, we also got rid of Synder's contract.

Well if you look at it from a trade perspective...This is a really good deal. We deal Kirk Snyder for a guy that hopefully becomes good. If he does not...we can put him on the same seat snyder was on. He might have low iq, BUT he isn't like stro. Stro was suppose to make an instant impact...green is expected to average 8-10 points to start...and then we evaluate him again to see if he does better.

Yeah, Les did such a stupid thing! If he overextends the team's budget, potentially we could be like Memphis in a few years.

By trading Bonzi instead of just letting him walk plus, dump James' contract as well, we free up cap space to do what? Potentially make another big FA signing into the fold.

Bobby Jackson isn't half the scrub some are making him out to be. Potentially he gives us an x factor advantage in the perimeter game especially come playoff time! B Jax's numbers also were best when he played for Adelman in Sac-town! So, apparently he thrives under Adelman's system. :p

We'll see what becomes of Gerald Green. Thus far, he's been glorified trade candy. Enticing but, short on results. The problem is, if you try to pick up someone with his talent level matured, it's going to cost lots more money to get him. Is it a risk? Yes, just like riding Scola and Landry down the stretch and banking on them to continue duplicating their success into the playoffs.

We'll just have to see what happens ...

Kirk Snyder isn't getting any minutes anyway...
so why not trade for a cheap young prospect and see what happens?
.....even if he is a burst, we don't have much to lose..he's cheap and his rookie contract is about to end

Green has the potential to be get into Adelman's rotation. Acturally, Rox need to acquire another big man!!!

For some reason I thought he was a forward. Anyways, he was good in my NBA Live 07 team.. maybe if he could be half of what he was in the game, he'd be alright.

I'm not particularly happy to get him, but I'm just happy that we made another trade. As long as our core is healthy and we keep on winning, I could care less about the management switching around scrubs.

I know Green needs to work on his J, but does anyone know if this kid is a headcase or doesn't like to hustle? All I know of him is from the Slam Dunk Contest and NBA Live 07 (which often has the ratings totally wrong).

Agree. Posterizing and stylish fast break dunks is always exciting to watch.

The Rockets and Grizz are two completely different animals. The Rox are a semi-big market team. The Rox have a lot of name-draw because of their superstars. The Rox are making a lot of money off of merchandising. The Grizz? Not so much. Are you really telling me that Snyder or Mike James's contracts were going to force Les to have a firesale on the team next year?

Also, why is everyone assuming Bonzi walks? He likes playing for Adelman, he's familiar with Adelman, he could potentially use his ties with Adelman to get a bigger contract than he would get elsewhere. Bonzi is a proven playoff performer. Bjax is a proven 38% shooter(over the last 3 years). He's also a lot older than he was when he was with the Kings. He's over the hill and you're lying to yourself if you think otherwise.

Does he still have the occasional good game in him? Sure. Can we count on him in the playoffs? I highly doubt it. It's ok if he's just relieving Rafer for 10 minutes a game but given Rafer's tendency to suck come playoff-time, we're in for some real hurt if the Rox have to play Bjax serious time.

I would much rather just force Brooks to develop.

As to Gerald Green: no, I haven't completely written him off. But the fact is that it's very plausible Bonzi would have given us quite a boost in THIS YEAR's playoffs. I don't think anyone could plausibly argue that Gerald Green would do anything for us by then.

The only thing you're going to watch him do, is wear a good looking suit.

Those wussy layins won championships for the Spurs and Pistons.

The exciting dunks got you the 99-03 Rockets

Wussy layins are a sign that the team is playing halfcourt basketball, which is championship ball unlike fastbreak ball.

    Which one do you prefer?
