Some of you guys need to freaking take a xanax or something and chill the F out. Lets think for a second here and use a fun little thing called REASON and LOGIC!!!

    Phoenix added Shaq
    Lakers added Gasol
    Utah added Korver
    S.A. added Stoudamire and Thomas
    Mavericks added Kidd

What our the odds the Rockets win a championship this year?

Are Bonzi Wells, Kirk Snyder and Mike James KEY pieces to defeating one of the elite teams in the West?

Morey and Les are smart guys. My guess is they had deals on the table for Mike Miller and Artest and neither worked out. Instead of falling into desperation mode, they decided to stick with our core team (minus Bonzi), and shed some $$$ so we can have more flexibility next year. In turn they gave us a proven playoff PG in Jackson (to give Rafer some breathing room), and an athletic prospect in Green.

I feel fortunate that we have management that doesnt rush to make questionable moves just for the sake of keeping up with the joneses. Smart decisions in this case that don't compromise the FUTURE of the team.

    Oh Papillon!

What I was saying was that McCants has stepped it up this season and is finally starting to play to his pedigree.Minny now can break the logjam at the 2/3...and we get Green cheap.

    Good post.

Yeah, we now have much more flexibility while strengthening the team at the same time..Not to be lost is the fact that both Landry and Scola can dust off the rest of their games.Jackson is expiring and will plug right in. I see Green as actually getting some pt,hitting some J's and D ing up with big upside down the road.

I'm OK with this deal. Basically we trade a second round pick, which is a risk anyway, for a potential. Let's just put our eyes on him and and see what will turn out.

    It is an exciting trade.
I like him, specifically when i saw the tattoo 'Houston' on his arm after his slam dunk in All-Star weekend.

I agree. And, the reason we cannot trade for great players is partly because we don't have expiring contracts at hands. You can see that all teams in the list are trading with expiring contracts.

And ... I actually think Suns and Mavs will be hurt from the bold moves....

    stupid trade.

just gives credibility to the 'les is a cheapass who wants to make a buck rather than winning' camp.

gerald green is a shorter version of stromile swift. you guys are in for a disappointing time.
