I trust Morey, but this deal may not be for talent though... it could be just a "find Kirk Snyder a home and sell a second rounder for $1 million" deal. I'd be thrilled if Gerald Green pans out, but they'll likely have to re-sign him before they see any signs of that.
It seems that a lot of poeple criticize the Jackson deal because we're too small on the wing now... well they sure turned that around quickly.
Man, I have serious doubts about green. Seriously, the dude hasn't shown much. Not a lot of reason to think he's the next TMac.
Except that Bonzi was a rotation player and even an occasional starter. Will Green even crack the rotation?
I was posting the same thing! I said that this would be awesome. It's like I somehow predicted Green definently needs to improve his shoot, from that distance I think he will fit well in Adelman's system if he cracks the rotation, very athletic!
wow! his wikipedia page has already been updated. and as far as the finger is concerned is this trade official, by the way?
I like these trades when I look at the overall picture. Can we get someone on the trade market to instantly put Rockets into contenders? The answer is NO. Rockets have two weak spots: 1 and 4. We could argue that 4 has improved laterly, however, we haven't tested against elites yet. Well, we lost Bonzi for sure. Bonzi is a unique, very dangerous postup guard, however, when I look at it deeper, he is not really playing at his full potential (probably due to the low pay he gets). By giving up Bonzi, Rockets are better positioned for next season (not to mention Les saved millions).
