so we traded our best bench player and a scrub for an old scurb and and another scurb.....great, mgmt has given up on this team for this year at least......win now my ass....we gave up a future superstar to get a guy who only knows how to shoot a 3, then we give up our bench player to get a scrub
Who is the future superstar? Mike James or Bonzi? How about NBA also rans we gave up a bench scrub for a young scrub with potential EDIT: oh, you are talking about Gay. And if you think all Shane does is shoot a three you need some basketball education
What the hell are u talking about guy what future superstar????? Get it right man... You dont know what you're talking about u rookie
Snyder did nothing for us so I'm happy to see him go for some more young athleticism. Don't worry about Green being a major contributor, but I'm sure he'll be contributing much more than KS was... We can run some small ball with GG out there... I like it. Rafer Green Tmac Landry Scola Could be a dunk fest... Also, I know its not over but I'm really happy with are holding on to Shane, he's not really replaceable, his skills are (kinda) but not his personality and chemistry with this team.
Often these young high-school hotshots who skip college altogether get a bucket of ice reality dumped on their heads when they find out they're not even CLOSE to being NBA-ready. Usually, they struggle along for a year or two, then end up in Europe or elsewhere. Ousmane Cisse, Korleone Young, Leon Smith, James Lang -- the list goes on and on. HOWEVER... Occasionally these guys realize the obstacles they face and buckle down, work hard, improve their overall game, and become productive players. Sebastian Telfair is an example of someone who could have easily been out of the league by now, but decided to put in the necessary hard work and is now a decent player -- and still young enough to eventually be a major contributor to a winning team. Moral of the story: Yes, Gerald Green sucks. For now. But it's not like we traded away someone important, and Green has mad athleticism and major upside. It's totally up to him to do something with it. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope that coming home lights a fire under his ass.
what the hell? We get an over the hill guard and a slam dunk nominee instead of the proven 3rd scorer that we have been begging for ages and this board is celabrating like we won the lottery, how the heck are these pathetic trades congruous to the Win now philosophy? The elite teams in the west have upgraded their automatics for RPGs while we take out a bullet and replaced it with blanks. All this talk now seems like we are AGAIN settling for what ifs while fans on other teams have (attained) proven commodities worth celebrating about. This orgnaization sure knows how to manipulate the majority of it fans in seeing a charcoal as a diamond and mediocraity into superiority. Full applause there. They got away with it AGAiN!
