    This is all what I was thinking. Suspension means it's not medical or psychological. Probably drugs. But, without a drug test or a conviction, the league can't get him with a drug suspension. So, the team does something for conduct instead.

    Yeah I mean in the last 5 years Sanders had been high all the time, but the NBA could only punish him for the tests he failed. Otherwise the NBPA would be all over this. But the team can suspend a player. And I bet a big number of NBA players are high all the time but the NBA can't punish them either if they are not caught by the official test.

    Not familiar with drugs at all, but this doesnt' sound to me like a hard drug. Sure he lost it and was aggresive and had blood in his hand, but he had the precense of mind to at first leave his apartment and go to the right place and ask for help. Doesn't seem to be hallucinating.
    I really don't know much about drugs though.
