We currently have an empty roster spot. The issue is we have to reduce team salary to bring him back. Or late in the season when minimum salaries are prorated enough, we might be able to fit him in under the hardcap without any roster moves ... that last comment is a quote from one of bima’s tweets.

Trade that sends out more money than Rockets take back. Or just trade Clemons to team with TPE. Would cost Rockets SRP at minimum.
Even as part of a lifetime extension? Not that I want any more Harden. I'm just eager to get GG back already.
Extensions and Renegotiations are defined CBA terms representing two different things. Renegotiating signed years downwards is not allowed.
If Silas is rookes centric; Wall, Dipo, Tucker and Ego would be playing less minutes. I don't think adding Gerald is going to change that dynamic. If anything maybe reduce some of the other vet's minutes. Our 3pt shooting is doo doo, but the attempts are still there. If Rockets keep the attempts, get actual shooters. That and we just got blown out by the Bulls. Rockets is 4th worst in W-L in the league right now. For perspective, Wood's last team last year; the 2019-2020 Pistons was 5th worst. So if snapshot frozen, Christian actually came to a worse team. Profound sadness.
Guaranteeing Boogie has nothing to do with ability to sign Green, now. This thread is kinda irrelevant now to why Green had to be cut. We are no longer close to the Hard Cap, which is why we had to originally cut him. Post Harden Trade, we can now add salary, so we can cut someone (we have a full roster) at any time, guaranteed or not, and sign a replacement, with plenty of room below the Hard Cap.
Gerald posted an instagram story during the blackout. He was sitting in the dark mad cussing out the power company. He was talking about all the taxes he pays and still sitting in the dark/cold.
