It never hurts to have a hometown guy on the team that wants to win a championship for his city more than anyone else. We all were kids and dreamed about doing that. Gerald Green is living it

I don't know, I think a lot of kids nowadays dream about selling out to Golden State and having a good Twitter reputation.

Feels like Gerald Green is providing the type of play that the Rockets probably were interested in when they were interested in Swaggy P. @Codman

Green at least gives the team another player that "can create their own shot" hit 3's and play above the rim. Nice to have some athleticism.

Hope he stays. He can give MDA "real" rotation minutes when needed unlike the current back end of the roster.

They have to keep this guy. Waive Bobby Brown. Trade Zhou Qi for a 2nd and a player to be waived. Or do the same with Chinanu if somebody will give us a 2nd for him. Waive Demtrius Jackson. Troy Williams doesn't get any PT so we may as well cut him. He's not contributing. That's a whole lot of ways they can make room for Gerald Green. You just have to do it. We're trying to contend.

We have to keep him unless we are 100 percent sure that Troy is healthy and will be better than green .... So basically , we have to keep him .

Our main weakness is athleticism . He can help us a lot in that regard .

Green is pretty much a better, more experienced version of what we hoped KJ would be.

With Harden out I'm hoping Green can give us 10-15pts a game. If he can do that, while playing serviceable defense we are good. Still waiting for that nasty open court dunk we haven't seen yet

You make a place on this team for a guy like Green

I think having a nice group of rangy 6'5~6'8 guys is not a bad thing
esp if it means sacrificing a Brown or even a Weber

Like Green as an offensive spark, but man his D awareness is pretty low.

Don't agree with the KJ comparison. Rockets wanted a 3 & D guy with KJ. His problem was he had a poor motor and poor basketball IQ. Green is an average defender. But I like that he adds some above the rim athleticism, along with the ability to put the ball on the floor and score. This team needs more of that.

Really, Green is the "vet" version of Troy Williams that MDA is willing to play.

He provides some potential scoring in JH's absence.

I noticed he was slow on defensive rotations in the initial games. A few practices should iron that out.
