Uh it called rest for your starters for one so guys remain fresher for the post season. Also it gives the bench guy a oppurtunity to get a bit better in game form, and to play with his teamates in a competetive environment and not be lost if he actually needed for injury reasons, kinda like before huh. Why is this hard to understand?
I guess you don't understand that what happened when players got injured for Rockets. We had to go to bench, they sucked because they got no playing time with the system. Pop's has his players all playing well every year no matter what the team's talent is. Dantoni gambles by only playing certain players, when those players get hurt he relies on people who's seen very little playing time through out the season. Green has produced and you want to keep him in the rotation to a.) reduce minutes on our vets who have proven injury history b.) keep them fresh for playoffs c.) keep the deeper bench into the system so if they are needed during playoffs they will be integrated. Green has shown us he is an asset, it might be a fluke but I would rather play him now and figure out if its a fluke or know its not and have him very familiar with the system. You disagree but thats okay, it happens.
Yo, MDA. We need Gerald Green to be a part of this roster. Give him some damn minutes so he can be a real asset during the playoffs, *******.
i agree that green should get some minutes but brewers play time came before we had pj tucker and luc mbah a moute. Brewer would've gotten 0 minutes if we had pj and luc at the time.
This is the type of game where if the starters are going through the motions you bring in the deep bench to light a spark on some asses. Very disappointing that MDT hasn't learned this after coaching for so many years. I hope this and other types of stubbornness doesn't bite the rox in the playoffs.
i got to the game early to watch warmups and i was surprised to see him rocking adidas instead of the usual nike or jordan shoes.
He needs to practice shooting more, in order to improve the accuracy so that MDA will give more time to him
Green should take some of Ryan and or ego minutes. Like that 2 quarter that no one could buy a bucket, everyone was bricking 3s. At least to check if he is shooting we’ll that night. Green could make threes or drive in like Erick. I hate it when no one is making a 3 yet they keep settling for 3s even contested ones. Or chose to pass it for a 3 with a possible essy layup
Purposely not play Green so we can sign him for cheap after we acquire Lebron this summer. #MoreyConspiracy
It's been trill GG. Mike D'Antoni said he would be happy to play Green if the need arises. Until then, he said he would try to explain Green's revised role while seeking to give his four players off the bench enough time to be effective. "Just keep talking to him, tell him to stay ready," D'Antoni said. "That's his job. He's in a great place. But I can't upset five guys to appease one. I'd rather have one guy kind of out of it and four happy. I've got to keep a core that knows about their minutes. Now, whenever I can, I'll play him. I won't hesitate to play him. If somebody's hurt or sick, he'll play. Or if I can find time, I will." "It just helps overall, knowing you have more weapons to choose from," D'Antoni said. "If one is not firing on all cylinders because he's tired or whatever, we got another guy to come in. Having depth is key and we have a lot of it. The problem I have is trying to find room for everybody and play them. When all of them are playing well, what do you do? If somebody's ticked off, I don't blame them." http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Gerald-Green-s-role-diminished-with-Rockets-12523076.php
