Not to mention DA had a player option for next year I believe......who would want him hanging around one more year? I think the team let him go, and is slowly building for next year. DD
Once again, a player who was on the Rocket roster for games, but never played in a single game.... therefore: Was Gerald Fitch ever a Houston Rocket?
I may have jumped the gun saying he's playing well, but he did have the one 14 pt game for them. The Rockets may have gotten a better player in return if they had handled the situation better instead of publicly announcing the dog fight the way they did.
Well, he did lead us to the 1986 NBA Finals and coached us to several playoff appearances, despite the fact that his Celtics broke our hearts in 1981. So I will say: Yes, Fitch WAS a Rocket, despite having never suited up.
Bill Fitch, Sam. You've filched the wrong Fitch! Clutch, I'm glad you get to make these decisions about who was a Rocket, and who wasn't.
As King Cheetah would say... ....UNLIKELY (boo, MS Paint shopping always sucks boo!) (side note: this confirms what I always subconsciously felt: Bill Fitch had a head that was WAY too big for his body.)
