Those guys should've said they were Cantonese and making some stew.

In Hong Kong I saw some puppies for sale in a market... and it didn't look like for pets.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people are more outraged at the death of cats and dogs over animals we eat for meat.

For me, it's not so much the fact that they killed the dog that makes me sick...it's the fact that the broke into a community center, slowly roasted the puppy alive just for fun, and proceeded to show children the carcass.

I remember seeing a video of a stray dog being hit over the head by some scum bag with a skate board....twice.

The poor thing was knocked senseless.

Ive seen some terrible things in my life, but seeing that had me in tears. I had to go and get my dog and give him a big hug and all the chocolate he wanted.

Me, personally, I don't really like cats or dogs that intimately.. I do like all/most animals. Except, snakes.. and bats..

But, you have to admit.. Dogs do have an uncanny ability of expression.. They have fragile Psyche's, outward displays of emotion and friendship, be it by mere social/pack instinct they express it in ways pretty damn close to a human. And, reflective personalities dependant on upbringing, environment, education and social interaction. And, like the horse, stand out by possessing two very uncharactersticly(to 'survival-of-the-fittest' animal mentality)emotional qualities: Nobility and Loyalty.

Isn't chocolate extremely bad for dogs?

I think you have a point from the perspective that we should be more aware and demanding of humane treatement for livestock. That's why we often buy free range poultry and eggs.

But past that, having an animal killed for meat is magnitudes different than torturing a living being for entertainment. It's worse for many when the animal tortured is a domesticated one, in fact one that would risk it's life to defend you. From a society standpoint, abuse of animals when young is a huge warning sign, There are empirical ties to serial killers, school shooters and violent criminal behaviour in general. The worse the cruelty, the more severe the violent crime.

Lock'm up for as long as possible.

I agree.. but like people said, it's the torture thing. It wouldn't evoke quite the same response--but if people somehow slowly tortured a chicken, I don't think people would be happy.

    And the 2 teens suck.
