Willis will not be in the "first chair" during the trial, right?

Whether she is in the first chair or not she is the DA that is leading the prosecution. She’s the one who brought the charges and is the public face of the State’s case.

I think that is weak sauce. Nathan Wade or one of the other two Willis hired special prosecutors) will be first chair and when the trial starts will become the face of the *televised* trial.

    ETA:
Should the trial judge looked all of the interested parties in his court and ask everyone of them who they are sleeping with? You know because that is how it is done.

In addition to Fani's corruption and dishonesty, you now have proof of the Georgia prosecutors colluding with Biden's DOJ and White House. This action alone is illegal and easily disqualifying. This is political persecution in the extreme. Unreal that people are still pretending it's not.

Trump committed crimes, regardless of who is prosecuting him. He is the criminal. That SleazeBag lying traitor deserves to be locked up. His own Republicans working closely with him admitted it. Trump knew he lost. The tapes with Trump begging for votes were his desperate attempt to cheat and steal votes. The fake electors admitted it. Trump is a fraud and a criminal. That's a fact.

If you want to understand the Deep State and how the Biden Administration is weaponizing not just the legal system, but also government agencies, against Trump, then listen to JD Vance expose Gary Gensler of the SEC. Gensler was CFO of Hillary Clinton's campaign who then hired uber-partisan liberals at the SEC and pursued novel legal theories to go after Trump's Truth Social. This type of corruption is how democracies are ruined.

Not that I totally disagree, but your stridency makes me pull back. There is Willis the elected politician and Willis the prosecutor. Willis the elected politician lied, was hypocritical, and cynically pulled the race card. When she runs for re-election, she should probably feel some heat. But saying the credibility of her prosecutions is called into question by these personal failings is a different thing. We recognize, for example, Trump's tax cut law or his supreme court picks as legitimate (if distasteful) even though Trump himself is a loathsome person. Some people who are inclined to criticize this prosecution no matter what will seize upon this mini-scandal because it's there, but they'd make some other argument if it wasn't. For a mainstream and rational person, though, the case will stand on its own merit regardless of her shortcomings.

i dont disagree with you and i think i already stated that the facts of the case are unchanged. trump is literally on recording doing what he is accused of. its an open-and-shut case.

trump supporters are a lost cause, but when you have polling showing a higher percentage of people thinking that the investigations into trump are politically motivated than actually support him that means lots of non-trumpers are with him on this. does this fani willis issue move them over to her side or maybe make them go with trump even more?

i want to see trump held accountable for his crimes and stuff like this only hurts that cause.

You know how you can tell someone is an idiot? They cite - The deep state - like it is something real.

Oh sure the rich are lobbying for themselves but it isn't deep it is right there on the surface. There is no secret cabal or government - that is just what we tell the stupid people.

That's a feature of western liberal democracy that magas fail to understand or appreciate. Congress creates agencies and supplies them with a mission. The executive installs the leadership of those agencies, but those leaders are creatures of legislation and their job is to complete the agency's mission. It is not to do whatever the president tells them to do. When we talk about the 'institutions of democracy' those are some of the institutions. The maga insistence that agencies do whatever the president tells them even if it contradicts the mandate given them by Congress is a fascist tendency. The liberal democratic principle of divided government applies not just in creating legislation, but in its execution. And to say those agencies must do whatever the President says might seem like an embrace of democratic principles, it is actually a rejection of the power of the elected Congress. It is in fact why, for example, the House can indict Mayorkas for allegedly not fulfilling the mandate of his agency - because he reports to the President but his responsibility is to the mission defined by Congress. So, yeah, I believe in the deep state. It is an incredibly important feature of our democracy.
