There was a recent article about it. He's looking for the go-ahead to resume "baseball-related-activities". He mentioned specifically that it will take time to strengthen his hand back. Rehab assignment soon is the best hope.

I have nightmares of him leaning in and keeping his "eye on the ball" as it hits the catcher's glove right down the middle. Anyways, I know this is a good thing but when do you think George will start swinging a bat. A couple of days? Maybe after they see how it responds to a couple games of toss.
There's no telling, really. Hands and wrists can be tricky to come back from. If he starts a rehab assignment in a couple of weeks we should all be ecstatic.
