I haven't seen you really attacked. I have seen people disagree with your assessment that both sides are equally guilty of going negative. They've brought up examples and posted studies to back up their assertions. That isn't an attack on you, though.

I will also say that on this bbs you will usually find more people who identify with what has come to be known as the left side of issues. So that could be a part of it.

Why would the right attack you? The prevailing opinion - backed by statistics - is that the right is more negative. You're suggesting (with no evidence) that the left is just as negative. What is the right going to argue? "No, you're wrong - we're more negative!" ? Of course you're being attacked by the left - becuase you posted something that attacks the left and is statistically proven to be wrong.

Really? So in your household, the innocent party is just happy to let you assume he's guilty and not defend himself?

I don't know. Why don't you actually post the messages of the two campaigns and I'll tell you.

When has Obama ever called McCain a racist? He hasn't, and that includes the statements about him not looking like other presidents on money.

McCain saying that Obama is more concerned with winning a campaign than winning a war, is saying that Obama doesn't care about the country.

The difference in my post and yours is that McCain actually said what I claimed he did, and Obama never said what you claimed he did.

Either I am missing something or you just didn't read what I wrote, but no where was I stating any facts, instead just my opinion on the matter, how both sides continue to be negative, but I digress...................

Granted as the studies confirm the Republicans run more negative ads and have in recent elections. I do think Obama has to respond to the McCain negative ads.

Krugman said all that Obama has to do is run enough negative ads to make it so neither candidate is perfect-- so it becomes an election between a Democrat and a Republican, which the Demos are than certain to win.

It certainly does not make me proud of our country.

Anyone know if other advanced democracies have elections dominated by crap like these ads?

What made it right was the empirical evidence I provided. Where is your empirical evidence that refutes this? I expect you to say you have none.

And yet... you clicked in and responded.

    The real games begin!

Actually, all of this is sad. Let's get to some real issues...

fact is both canidates are far from perfect (in fact, what candidate is?).

Bringing up George Obama is just silly. As silly as McCain's first wife, as silly as 90% of the partisan posts.

I mean if McCain is so experienced, why does he plagiarize wikipedia for his facts on Georgia? That was hilarious. Obvious some jr. aid used wikipedia and made an arse out of his boss.

But the point is there's all this silly stuff.

Both of these candidates are capable of leading - anyone who says otherwise is lying and playing partisan politics. It's just B.S. These are leaders. They won their nominations - that's proof enough they can lead. You don't gain that kind of support unless you can. Chuck Hagel isn't going to support a guy who can't lead. Nor is Liberman going to support McCain.

It comes down to policies, but what is going on is people are trying to cover it up in a bunch of B.S.

Basso - you are forefront at this - but it makes no sense, because you're on a texas board trying to win votes with who? And to make what difference? Why are you doing it? Unless you just want to annoy the other side.

Why not go to a board for the denver nuggets or timberwolves if you are really concerned - or the Cavs. I mean, this isn't even close to a swing state.

Brother, shmother. Wait until the Obama campaign interviews the children that McCain sired while stationed in Vietnam. He has steadfastly refused to acknowledge his own offspring. This story could be explosive...

One of these children allegedly has three heads and McCain has hidden it under Bill O'Reilly's desk.

Why haven't we ever been shown what's under Bill O's desk? Hmmm?

    I love it.

Lets make families an issue. Lets see, Obama has a half-brother who he has seen twice. Biden remarried after his wife died in a car accident.

On the Republican side, McCain had an affair and left his handicapped wife. Palin preaches abstinence while her daughter gets knocked up.

    WOW I'll take the Democrats!!!

I've already admitted to being a hypocrite today, thanks!

I bumped it, because thumbs wouldn't shut up about obama's brother in a different thread.

    hence, bumping it for thumbs.
