The man has to get his preferred players on the team before he becomes the head coach next season

this. I'd rather have Beverly start over Rubio. IMO Rubio isn't even a NBA starter, much less a max contract like his agent thinks.

    1. Yes plenty of Gms go BPA regardless of their needs. It's not an uncommon practice, McDonough is known for it.

    2. That's no to much for what would essentially be the core of your backcourt rotation. And the argument is totally baseless even if you think it is. If the Rockets trade for Dragic and resign him next year, together with a serviceable backup at both PG and SG, the'll exceed those 31 millions easily. Oh, yeah, Dragic said multiple times he wants to come back, so if the suns will want him, they'll have him.

    3. I definitely think that the Suns aren't willing to pay Bledsoe the max, if they don't have to. Why limit yourself financially? And they might be afraid Dragic will get offers they just won't be willing to match next summer. But none of that is a certainty, and while Thomas is a nice insurancy, I don't think he was signed with the replace any of them.

Everyone thinking the Suns would be crazy to have that money tied up their guards should remember that when they then suggest the Rockets tying up that same money in THEIR guards.

I don't know if he does know, but I'd imagine he has a lot of connections around the league, especially as long as he's been around. It's no different than Cyberx. If you're on the inside, you'll hear things.

When you have the likes of Hakeem and Kobe to build around, you can afford an average PG. We have Dwight with his mediocre Post-ups and Harden with no defense. That's not a winning combination, which is why Morey is thirsting for a 3rd star.

LOL. Lin is no longer a Rocket so I could care less, but if you take Lin out of the rotation in the Portland series, Houston would have been swept. Did you even watch??? Harden, Parsons and Jones, not to mention McHale, lost that series and it's not even debatable. Lin was a goof in some crucial situations that affected a game or two, but the series loss rests on the shoulders of others.

If Karl had insight to begin with, I am pretty sure Ish Smith wasn't that insight.

No, no they wouldn't have, and it's not even close. Nice try though.

Lol what the ****? Lin had like one good game. He was almost exclusively responsible for losing one game in the final seconds. He was what he usually is: Trash, with occasional moments of being OK.

So many stupid turnovers, missed layups, missed easy shots. I was terrified every time he had the ball. Couldn't hit a 3pt shot for ****.

No, any other decent back up point guard does a better job than Lin in the Portland series. He was terrible in crunch time and could not protect the ball when needed. He is an NBA player but not one to count on.

I never said Lin was the reason the Rockets lost to Portland, many things went wrong. However I stand by the point that if you take out Asik, Lin and Parsons and replace them with Ariza, Dragic and Dorsey; the Rockets roll in that series. Ball handling and play at the end of games was very suspect from Lin and a major issue for the Rockets.
