Cavs will probably finish ahead of the Puppies by the end of the season, it looks like.

this guy is a bunch of bull crap.

    1) since when has his teams have been great defensively? for him to say he has a system of commitment to defense is a bunch of crap. he doesn't preach D, so melo didn't play D. outside of gary payton (b/c he was a great defensive player), all his teams were run and gun.

    2) if you're a great coach, you would have the balls to criticize any player and not wait till that player is traded.

Karl has criticized Carmelo, openly. But a coach only has so much power when dealing with "franchise players".

Karl was always talking about defense with these Nuggets. He knows they had a championship caliber team if they played some defense and the team especially Melo would never make the commitment he is always talking about.

Karl's Seattle teams were extremely tough defensive teams. That's the only team I have ever seen that could frustrate Hakeem in his peak years. They always gave those Rocket teams fits.

Melo would not have survived for a very long time in the ClutchFans spelling contest...

His Seattle team was top 5 in defense. His Denver team has made regular appearances in the top 10, in spite of having Carmelo. Don't confuse pace(running) with no defense(points allowed per possession). A faster pace will increase the scoring totals but not the points scored on each offensive possession.

He is not a defensive genius, but he isn't D'Antoni or Don Nelson either.

    1) I haven't been a George Karl fan at all, but he has always preached defense.

    2) Where have you been? Karl has criticized Melo more times than anyone can count.

Under Karl, the Nuggets haven't finished higher than 18th in points allowed per game. They did end up 17th for his first half-season.

However, they have consistently been in the top half of the league in defensive rating (points allowed/100 offensive possessions).

Did anyone notice the clever edit at 0:30?

Karl made a pause. Then it clips to him saying "It's what frustrated us more than anything".

That 2nd part could be a response to anything.

He already said he was relieved Melo didn't end up in Houston. THis meant he would have rooted for Melo if he had ended up in Houston even if he didn't want to. My (and I suspect his) complaint with Melo has more to do with his lack of playing ability rather than his offcourt issues. Kobe "allegedly" raped someone, and I have no issues rooting for him.

The dude just flat out sucks, and will be making more money than Lebron,Wade, Bosh, Durant, Griffin, Rose, Wall etc. in the next 5 years due to his shiny new contract. LOL! Good riddance to NY. Maybe now people will realize how overrated he is.

I hate when people talk out of their asses, and number their thoughts like they know exactly what they're talking about.
