I think Biden saying the "right verdict" is problematic but as noted the jury is already sequestered. This might though lead to other issues if the Chauvin is acquitted and there are destructive protests. At that point there could be an argument that the President showed no faith in the justice system and undermined trust in MN institutions.

Granted Biden didn't say what was the "right verdict." but I think saying that is problematic and he would've better just leaving at that he was "praying for the family" and the safety of MN.

I don't understand @J.R. we're all just a bunch of liberal assholes in his opinion on a basketball forum, so why does he feel the need to post shitty twitter "news" post over and over...almost like he has no life himself and isn't much better than the guy in his basement waiting for Q drops...

Seeing all the cops bracing and seeing all the boarded up businesses is ****ing sad.

the idiot derelict shitheads that will be rioting do not care about justice. They are absolutely hoping that Chauvin walks so they can be violent thieving criminals.

Well, they should have been able to take notes, and I know that when I've served on juries, we could ask for the transcripts of certain parts. It is strange if they aren't allowed to.

    murder.

but i believe it should be manslaughter.

the fact that the verdict was so quick spells doom for Chauvin. Hes done. I would be very surprised if its not 2nd degree murder.

Not a good sign for Chauvin, but the entire trial was a disaster.

The video makes it pretty easy. They certainly had to consider the legal terminology for the 3 charges, but manslaughter seems obvious, and hard to not vote guilty on 3rd degree murder given the 5 minutes or so he stayed on him after he was motionless is a pretty clear example of not having regard for human life.

Again, I am hoping that after the decision was announced that there isn't violence nor "celebrating"... it was a horrible thing that happened, and our system of law enforcement and judicial system will be impacted by the decision, either way. Hopefully we can move forward as a nation, and where possible, improvements can be made.

The dude is obviously guilty in some, if not all, of the charges...but it sure does bother me when the sitting President of the United States weighs in on a verdict before its read. That sort of undermines the process, regardless of outcome.
