The first trailer came out yesterday and is freakin' awesome. Sucks that we have to wait a whole year for this. I wasn't a believer in the franchise at first; I had issues with the over-the-shoulder camera angle. But I quickly became a convert. Two games and two novels later, I'm hooked on the characters and story. I didn't get around to playing G2 until a few months ago, I thought some of the set piece sequences w/vehicles and stuff were pretty cool, not a big fan of one of the final boss fights, hoping for a bit more difficulty. Lots of content though, hard to find fault overall with the single player package. I thought the plot/story were way better done than in the first one (hard not to do because it was pretty incoherent) but nothing to write home about.
And if you didn't notice in the trailer....looks like two new weapons are coming...a shotgun...and a Pendulum Wars Lancer...if you didn't read the books...basically it's a pre-chainsaw Lancer outfitted with a bayonet.
wow cant wait hopefully they fix the multiplayer cause the one in gears 2 sucked but the campaign is good in both 1 and 2 anyone still play gears 1 online? i used to all the time but too many scrubs and no competition so now i just halo it up ayways if anyone wants to add me heres my gamertag xM0rNiiNg W00D
the first to games were good, playability, graphics, controls, but I hate the set piece levels, ride the truck, drive the car, shoot the turret, fly the monster.
Gears of War 3 Beta So the beta for all the regular people comes out tomorrow and I can finally stop hating everyone who bought bulletstorm and got the opportunity to play it a week early. Any one else here are gears fans and or waiting to try this game out? It only sucks because alot people are level 20+ already and know the maps so they have a huge advantage.

yea gears was all about the shotty battles now u just have people camping with the sawn off and waiting for you to come at them shotty battles took skill miss one shot you probably lose sawn off if your close enough its over
New trailer. I think I like the first one better; a lot more emotional resonance. Alright so tomorrow begins the kickoff to Gears of War 3! The last book is coming out: Coalition's End. I'm not into fan fiction really. I tried reading some Halo and I thought Fall of Reach kind of sucked but Contact Harvest was pretty good until the very end. But Gears books have been epicly awesome! I could easily see movies coming out of these novels. And Coalition's End looks to tie up loose ends surrounding Marcus' character leading up to the final game. Also, seems Paul Jr from American Chopper was commissioned to build two Gears themed bikes for the launch...one will be given away by Best Buy and the other was shown at Comic Con....and that one is absolutely sick imo! Exactly what a Gears rat bike should be. Pretty stoked...I've become a pretty big fan of Gears. Love the background stories the books flesh out, and love the gameplay and graphics/environments.
