Actually, if you could keep up with the discussion, you'd know that it was Obama that made this assumption when he decided to put the Birth Certificate under lock and key and only show a Cert. of Live Birth. Please try to keep up. Again, why spend a million dollars to suppress a document when simply releasing it is free of charge and squashes the issue? Well, unless there is something to hide... Even the hard core Obama apologists (which btw those numbers appear to be dwindling, according to the polls) would have to recognize that not releasing the birth certificate is a sign of wanting to hide something.
Why would that be harder for people to buy than what his record shows - that his father was a Kenyan man who was raised Muslim? Is it worse to have an Indonesian man on your BC than a Kenyan? Is it worse to have an Indonesian man be at your birth than to live with that man starting at age 2? An American, a Kenyan, and an Indonesian walk into a bar... they eat corn nuts and drink beer.
Pitt is an adequate actor who lends his flukey mid-90s superstar status to quality projects: which makes them easier to finance and release wide, and therefore makes the flyover multiplex movie experience somewhat less unbearable. The Oceans movies made more than a billion combined. Troy made half a billion. Se7en made $300 million. Twelve Monkeys made $160 million, and Pitt was actually overbilled for the amount of screen time he had (like Steven Seagall in Executive Decision). Fight Club made $150 million (Box Office + DVD), which is alot less than I would have expected.
Only Obama/Axelrod would know that answer -- they, after all, are the ones hiding the critical document. Did Obama follow through on his promise of transparency in government? Obviously not. The Indonesian angle would likely be troublesome because of how it would portray his mother and his schooling while a child. It's also a much closer link to Islam than his dead-beat dad. It's really an image thing. Indonesia doesn't fit the story as well for Obama. Then you have the whole issue of the first name being different. It would just make Obama seem like a well crafted media creation... oh wait.
to the wingnuts, is this your supposed October Surprise/Splash? if months of calling our president-to-be Balack Hussein Ubama didn't turn off majority of American voters, why do you think Barry Soetoro be any more effective?
Guys, guys, guys. Guys, it's SAVINGAMERICA!1!1.com and "Wikipedia Italian version" vs. the McCain campaign, the Republican senator of Hawaii, the state officials of Hawaii, the ENTIRE Congress without one nay or abstain and every mainstream news channel...including, increasingly enough, Fox. So stop bulls*****g around when it comes to birthers. Straight up, just say, "arguing with you will be a waste of my time and of yours. My facts do not matter to you and anything you claim are facts definitely do not matter to me." Jesus, these people are as bad as the Apollo nuts. You do not want to get stuck arguing down to their level.
Northside, again, the question isn't his citizenship. The question is what is on his birth certificate, which he won't release. It's not about whether he's a citizen. How many times does this have to be repeated?
Arguing with you will be a waste of my time and yours. My facts do not matter to you and anything you claim are facts definitely do not matter to me.
This is not true The birther amendment specifically states that any presidential candidate must prove citizenship. According to them this has nothing to do with Obama
I think Tj is not a birther.. he's something else but I don't have a name yet.. "namer" just doesn't sound right..
Whatever he is at the moment, arguing with him about this topic and many others is just a waste of time.
Perhaps you should read, actually read, not skim over or completely ignore Okubo also said that the Hawaii Department of Health now only issues a "Certification of Live Birth", not a "Certificate of Live Birth". She said that the "Certification of Live Birth" that the Health Department issues IS the "official birth certificate" issued by the state of Hawaii. Okubo said that the certification form "contains all the information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions requiring a birth certificate" and that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized the state's current Certification of Live Birth "as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements." Let's recap. First, there is no "vault" at the Hawaii Department of Health where a paper copy or "vault copy" of Barack Obama's original birth certificate is kept. The Hawaii Department of Health doesn't keep paper copies; all their birth records have been stored electronically since 2001. Second, the Hawaii Department of Health does not issue a long-form birth certificate. The spokeswoman for the Hawaii Department of Health is on record saying their Department does not have long-form or short-form certificates. And third, the "Certification of Live Birth" is the birth certificate document that the state of Hawaii issues. They do not issue a "Certificate of Live Birth". Some states issue a "Certificate of Live Birth", but Hawaii issues a "Certification of Live Birth". It is the same thing; it is a birth certificate.
Aren't you essentially asking people an impossible question? It's like saying 'That man has a piece of paper that nobody else can access. What's on that piece of paper and why is access denied?' Short answer: Ask him.
I don't think I have to add much to these two quotes. Well maybe this: Obama can't release the vault copy of his birth certificate. It is protected by Hawaii state law. The law states that the original copy is kept secure and that only COLB's (you know, what Obama already released and even WND has admitted is valid) are given to those requesting a birth certificate. You aren't allowed to ignore this law even if you are President of the US. No matter how much as TJ, Lou Dobbs, and Jerome Corsi want the President to exert federal overreach over state law.
