The best big man is either Howard or Gasol ... Yao is not even in the picture because he is too easily taken out of the game on one end of the floor or the other.
I wish Yao would learn to keep his hands and the ball up like Gasol. He wouldn't get stripped as much as he does. Whenever Gasol gets offensive rebounds around the basket, he never puts the ball waist down like Yao who gets stripped a lot.
Pau can't hold Yao's jockstrop! Yao is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000X better than Gasol!
The rockets have some good talent on this team and Mory is still looking for more help. What do that tell you about Yao?
before his latest injury, yes (not by far though). after his latest injury, who knows. The problem is that we don't have a Kobe Bryant caliber player on our team.
Pau is NOTHING without Kobe. NOTHING. Prior to Pau teaming up with Kobe he was WINLESS in the playoffs. So all you people saying Pau is championship center and all this yada yada yada. Look at the freaking team the guy is on.

You put Pau on this team, we win 50 games every season. He can play for more than 70 games every season. Rockets with Yao can't win 50 games every season, because he gets injured constantly. Rockets are in the lottery this year. You can't count on Yao to be healthy every season.
Pau is by no means the best center but he absolutely rapes Yao in terms of performing at his best on a constant basis. Yao would give you like 10 good games 20 bad games and spend the rest of the season crying about his foot. I bet there would be way more teams interested in Pau than Yao if they became free agent at the same time.
