Since he likes Doc so much, I think he could possibly be a good fit in Boston off the bench and as a mentor to Rondo. (Who better to counsel a quick, defensive minded young PG that needs to develop a better offensive game?) But honestly, GP has gotten too old for this sh*t.
He had a great stint with the Celtics. Got traded, loved it so much that he came and joined them again right? Its hard to believe he isn't there now.
He's definitely leaning toward retirement. At his age, if he leans much further, he'll fall over. Time to call it a day, GP. Don't overstay your welcome and tarnish your image like another superstar I could name...
Payton should have retired after he won the ring. It's one thing to stick around after you lose a step but when guys keep playing after they no longer even resemble the player they used to be it is just sad. I'm looking at you too, Shaq.
Ummm, he played for the Celtics to, a couple of years ago. That was the Boston team with GP, Ricky Davis, Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker.
remember when he got traded to atl from boston? and he was relased and rejoined the celts? it wasnt too long ago
