    Your headline and your article are not the same. Do you really have to create new threads with made up quotes to push your viewpoint?

    Sorry - I guess the article implies the "short and long term" thing, though there are no actual quotes from Kubiak suggesting that. So it's more the article's fault than yours.

    Nowhere in the article is there anything from Kubiak suggesting anything about short or long term QB. All he said is "Schaub is our QB".

    If you're still trying to be obtuse, the texans signed him to a 4 yr 62 million dollar deal in 2012.

    Figure it out for yourself child.

    Joe Marciano could be fired at any point in the season. Same with kubiak. Yet they are still here.

    Schaub is the best we've got for the rest of the year, but our 1st rounder better be spent on the best available QB.

    "He's our QB today, as of right now..." that's all it means in this league. Not expecting a change this week, but I've seen coaches say this enough to realize it means nothing.

    No, it's not. The author of the article wrote it - but there's no quote in the article that matches the statement.

    Asked Monday if Matt Schaub’s recent struggles have put the veteran on a short leash, coach Gary Kubiak said Schaub is the Texans’ short- and long-term quarterback.

    “How short of a leash is he on? He’s our quarterback,” Kubiak said during a media interview at Reliant Stadium. “We’ve all got to do things a little better.”

    Stupid writer either didn't include the right quote or he had a dumb interpretation of the response.

    At least criticize your quarterback for once, let him take the whole blame and challenge him.

    Gary Kubiak is the definition of mediocrity.

    What a F****** shame a team full of talents on both sides of the field is being coached by this guy.
