Broncos would be better off getting Jake Plummer out of retirement.

Good for him. Was probably his dream job.

I think it will be a great fit and am really happy for Kubes, but not sure why they fired John Fox who is very similar to Kubiak? Regardless, Broncos offense could be hot as ever next season, and CJ Anderson could have a monster year under Kubiak regardless of what Manning decides (my hunch is he will come back)

I will always root for Kubiak. It was time for him to move on, but I think he will do great in Denver.

Wasn't fox let go because elway thought he wasn't agressive in his play calling?

And yet they sign Gary kubiak.

I'm very happy for Kubiak. Of course it was time to go for him in Houston, but I like the guy and I wish him well. Kubes and Elway should work well together in Denver, good for him.

Looks like Kyle Shanahan is coming in also for a Texans 2009 reunion... that offense should be really good next season.

Fox was never a play-caller nor did he have much to do with the offense (he's pretty much a defensive guy).

Fox was fired because he wanted a certain direction for the team (perhaps getting rid of Manning?) that Elway disagreed with. Elway also felt that the Fox teams had pretty much maxed out what they could do... might as well make a change.

I'm not buying that whole "We need a fiery head coach!" crap... because most NFL coaches are more like Fox and Kubiak than they are like Bill O'Brien.

i thought Kyle was going because Ravens would keep Dennison, but Kubiak is taking him with him.

G'luck, Kubes! I hope you stay healthy and enjoy your time back in Denver.

We'll see if he learns from his mistakes as a first-time HC during the reboot. Wonder who he'll bring in as the DC - the rumor is it'll be Vance Johnson. You'd think he learned his lesson after hiring first timers to run his Defense in Houston (Richard Smith and Frank Bush). Wade seems like a natural fit since he has experience coaching in Denver and working with DeMarcus Ware. Wonder if he'll get another look?!

Hope Kubiak takes Rick Smith with him back to Denver!!
