Destiny's destiny was etched in Stone long ago. Solid rotation player on a damn good team.

Playing Bruno is really pointless, unless you need to give a few fouls.

There is a place for Garuba on every nba team. He brings a nice combination of things to the table

    1) he can lock up a player
    2) generate steals, blocks, great overall defensive impact
    3) moves the ball well in offense
    4) can shoot 3s when necessary
    5) his steals should actually lead to some easy buckets(not really happening on the rockets)
    6) very young

He would definitely be more productive in a team with a working offensive scheme.

I agree with you. Silas doesn't know how to use him, at all. I hope we keep him - he will become a valuable contributor when we start contending.

A competent pg would make him shine. Garuba really needs to b spoon fed the ball. Very smart passer

Giving a little thought to this - - it goes to what I had said. These two don’t get the chance to work through anything in too few minutes.

Let them grow. Losses actually outvalue wins THIS SEASON!

You got to remember that Garuba is only 20 years old. Bruno can do a couple of things like dunk and block. Mathews is not in the long-term future I wouldn't have thought.

Garuba has hit 14 of 31 3 point attempts this season (45%) and 19 of 51 for his career (37%).

Does Garuba have a future as a floor spacer? Would change the trajectory of his career if he were able to achieve this. We know he can play defense.

With a little more work on his shot this summer is it crazy to predict he makes 36% of 2 attempts per game next season? We would have a hell of a role player on our hands. He's not a top tier passer, but he's definitely a good passer. Good shot blocker and rebounder.

he looked like a top-tier passer for Spain, out of the short roll. Was quite amazing actually, Draymond-like. Rox are just a clueless mess, they make everyone look worse than they are…

If Garuba could ever learn to catch the ball in traffic, he could have a real impact off the bench for a playoff team.

I’ve warmed up on him. Still has a lot to work on offensively. But he doesn’t look totally lost like he did for a while. His noticeable hustle definitely earns him a spot in the rotation. Even if 10-15 min, his energy is contagious. Always need one of those guys on the roster to set the tone defensively.

Yes but if he could just make corner 3's, he's not useless while he's developing everything else. He's so severely limited on offense, serving one crucial role on the team (making wide open corner 3's) would really allow him to make a respectable net impact.

I went to the Heat game and while I stand for what said here about Garuba as a player, I simply believe he does not fit well with the team chemistry wise. I saw him clashing with Jabari about a particular play where Garube felt he was ignored on the post and Jabari shoot the ball. And the complete sequence, the interaction after the timeout, everything was really awkward.

Garuba is now 22 of 54 from 3pt range for his career (40%) and on the season he's hitting 50% on 0.6 3pt attempts per game. How does such an offensively unrefined player do that? There's NO arc on his shot lol. Such a pleasant surprise. If he can be PJ Tucker on offense (with better passing out of PnR), then his defense will make him a big plus on the court.

I don't understand why Silas is so stubborn about not handing Garuba the backup C role. If someone told us before the season he'd hit 50% of his wide open 3's when defenses sag off him, we would have been ecstatic that defenses can't ignore him. He's one of the best defenders on this terrible defensive team. Good rebounder and shotblocker. He just needs experience attempting to anchor a defense, that's something he can't really learn in the offseason so we should be giving him as many minutes as possible.

Wtf are they doing playing Boban 11 minutes at the end of the season? As the coaching staff 60 games in, it's time to have some faith in what you've allegedly taught these kids all season.

It must be incredibly frustrating for Garuba that he's not being rewarded for exceeding expectations on his 3pt shot and defense. That's exactly what we would've wanted him to improve on over the summer.

Rather than using a 12-man rotation, maybe Silas can start keeping guys like Nix and Boban on the bench so we can continue to find out what we have in guys like Garuba. How do you give 30 minutes of playing time to Boban/Nix?

Tari, TyTy, Garuba, Christopher…any of those guys could use the spare minutes. Freaking Clown-show.
