First Green and now Garuba. Yet we still have idiots circle jerking about what a bust Jabari is. When will they learn?

I just hope he ends up better than Ryan Bowen.

It would be too much passing for Silas. He would rather have a little bit more Iso to balance out everything.

One wonders what Garuba would be doing now, had Bruno not got injured.

Garuba is a nice defensive player who is working on his offense niche- shooting 3 pointers. He is not a Center but a Power Forward and he has quickness and speed to stay with guards and small forwards. He could be a core player.

Exactly. Guys need at least until the end of their rookie contract before you can really judge them.

Basically a taller, slightly more athletic PJ Tucker? Obviously he isn't quite there yet, but I think that's not a terrible analogy for who he could be assuming his 3-point shot is for real.

3-4 inches taller, 2-3 inches more wingspan, great rebounder and a good shotblocker is a whole different defender. Tucker would have DPOY titles if he had that (and I'm a huge Tucker. fan btw).

He's already a better passer than Tucker is in his 30's. Garuba will easily eclipse Tucker's career high 2.2 assists per game from the looks of it. For a big man to start his career with a 2:1 asst/to ratio is not common. Has shown flashes in the NBA and international play.

Tucker couldn't make 3's till he was 27 years old. Garuba has made 11 of 27 3pters in his first 38 games. He won't maintain that, but I don't think Tucker was even capable of a hot streak like that till his mid 20's. The 3pt shot still needs work though, Tucker only became valuable once he could drain open 3's and Garuba has not shown that for a large enough sample. I suspect from his shot form that he's a couple of years away from that.

If you're asking if Garuba will defensively be as good as peak Tucker very soon, yes it certainly looks like it.

People are totally underrating Garuba's defense. He's not your average great defender. He's an elite defensive talent who can easily end up influencing the game with defense as much as a big time scorer does with offense. Fingers crossed his development continues to go well.

If he turns into prime Tucker at a much younger age, it would be good. At age 37, contending teams still want Tucker and play him significant minutes.

With a small sample size, he still hasn't proved that he can shoot like Tucker. But his passing instinct is already better than Tucker ever was.
