Why did the Wiz let him go and Boston this past preseason not see something in him?

I am rooting for this guy. He reminds me of Chandler Parsons, when he had him, but better. I love his game and his football mentality that he brings to this team. No coincidence, we've been winning since he joined.

Most likely numbers game. He couldn't get on the floor because both teams have a deep back court (Wizards had Beal and Westbroo

Funny thing is that Mathews was the Wizards' 5th best player last year according to fivethirtyeight.com's RAPTOR ranking.

I read that Wiz or Bos wanted to sign him to two way but he wanted a shot. Can’t remember exactly.
He’s got his shot here and he’s ran with it

the Wiz had a good win streak last season and Garrison was a big part of it.

So they let him go? Crazy

Internet has been calling him Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson from White Men Can't jump)
    Hilarious

I call him Get'r Done.....so I can call them Brooks and Done

Amazing what happens when you have guys that can shoot the ball at a high level. It opens everything up. While still not good I've been very impressed with the overall improvement on the defensive end.

    This season:

Duncan Robinson: 36/33/73 shooting line, making $15.6 million

Garrison Mathews: 48/42/80 shooting line, playing on a two-way contract.

Silas had to play Wood at Center or he was going to lose his job.
It made no sense to me....about the two bigs and no spacing?
Sengun shoots 40% from 3. It's was a scam from the beginning.

It's more about PACE. Why they didn't just come out and say it?
    I don't know?

Silas wants to maintain the breakneck PACE.
    ---------------
But Silas likes screeners as he showed in Dallas.

Facilitator (say Porter) with Wood screening.......Theis or Sengun screening off the ball
like I saw last night works to free up slashers/cutters.

All in all the Rockets saw Wood get hurt last year and were trying to spare
him from getting injured by having him predominantly as a perimeter player.
Wood didn't want to have that spot up shooter role.

So they've compromised. Give a Wood PnR action, and let Theis or Sengun
set screens away from the ball. I saw it last night. This is where I said
    phase two was implemented.

    Phase 1: Pick-n-Roll w/spacing

    Phase 2: implement slashers/cutters

Phase 3: use screens in creative ways away from the
ball to free up slashers and Cutters to a greater extent.

    The rest is money.

I've been calling for Brooks since week two......then Mathews showed up.
Snipa Brothers re-doing Splash Brothers. It will work. Silas can incorporate
Porter/Green slowly back into this. But don't remove Brooks/Mathews
completely or this all turns into a pumpkin again.

*On a side note: Silas before the game said he was probably going with
Sengun/Wood more.....allows Theis to get some action as backup.
    Praised Theis for remaining professional.

So is Stone going to have to give Mathews the treatment Morey gave House when it came to 2-way deals?

    LOL

Of course this MUST be Harden or MDA's fault too, amirite @ApacheWarrior ????

The overuse of ISO is on SILAS.
