http://tsn.ca/nba/story/?id=256306&lid=sublink01&lpos=headlines_main Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has been suspended one game without pay for striking Bucks centre Andrew Bogut in the face. The incident occurred on November 15th in the fourth quarter of Boston's win over Milwaukee. Garnett will serve his suspension Tuesday when he sits out the Celtics' game against the Knicks at TD Banknorth Garden. The 32-year-old is averaging just over 16 points per game and nearly 10 rebounds per game this season. Anybody have the video?
Wait seriously... What did Bogut Do? He went missed a shot, went up for the rebound, got tied up and garnett punched him off... Bogut got ejected though? Garnett went on to help win the game...??? Refs blew that one. And Shaq should be suspended a few games for his hit if that got Garnett 1 game.
Bogut was ejected because he got an technical foul earlier. Then when him and Garnett got tangled up they gave him a double tech which was his 2nd tech. Most refs would of called that a double tech even though Bogut didn't deserve the tech. But on the KG suspension, I thought if you are going to suspend Nash 1 Game, Rafer 2 games, and Matt Barnes 2 games, how do you just suspend KG 1 game for that when he did something worse.
If it was Artest, he will be suspended at least 20 games. Seriously i m getting more and more annoyed at Garnett, his so called competitive fire is so overrated. It doesnt mean you miss or hit a shot and bark like wild dog you have passion and fire.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! NBA for showing a little integrity when the refs at the game did not. I could not believe KG wasn't tossed from the game. I really wanted the Bucks to pull it out but they didn't have enough to get it done. Total jerk of a move by KG and justice prevailed for a change.
Well that doesn't mean Garnett didn't go on to help the Celtics win. If he got ejected when the incident happened, the Bucks maybe (probably?) win in regulation.
What was irksome was the next possession down the floor, KG drilled a long jumper. Bogut was ejected because he had an earlier technical. Kinda weird when you get your 2nd technical because an opponent pushes you in the face.
About time. If Garnett shot somebody out on the NBA floor, he might get only 5 games suspension---the guy is really full of himself and gets away with, well, hence my bad joke, murder.
bogut was unlucky to already have a first technical, nevertheless good to see him being aggressive and confronting, the bucks are about as intimidating as a bowl of jelly.... also bogut should be happy for the contact from KG, certainly more than he got from his team-mates are making a free throw, cue air five you tube clip.
You could speculate all you want and you might be right...but it's just speculation both ways I suppose.
Right, but I figure if you take a superstar player, and the defensive linchpin, away from a team that needs overtime to win, they probably don't even make it to overtime. Probably.

But if you played like it was your last day to live then it does. KG does that EVERY SINGLE NIGHT....................
