Rockets report: Garcia practices, hopes to return against Suns

Who knew Garcia had a sense of humor?

Teammates might face off

When FIBA on Monday announced the draw for this summer's World Cup in Spain, several Rockets found they would be in the same group for opening rounds in Bilbao that start Aug. 30.

The United States, including James Harden and Dwight Howard, was placed in Group C along with Turkey (Omer Asik) and the Dominican Republic (Francisco Garcia) The Netherlands, New Zealand and Ukraine complete the group.

Regardless of results, the schedule could pit Howard versus Asik, though Garcia joked, "O will probably be hurt."

As for his potential matchup with Harden, Garcia said he likely would use every foul, though he said he knows Harden's secrets.

"It's still going to be tough to guard him," Garcia said. "I'll probably have four fouls in the first half. It's going to be fun. We know each other pretty well, but it's going to be fun."

Usually defending bigger players when with his national team, Garcia could have to match up with LeBron James in Spain. But Harden hopes to go against his NBA teammate.

"I'll take that matchup any day," Harden said. "We'll probably have some competitive bets."
